If you HAD to choose..... which one would you go to? Sci Fi Dine in or 50's Prime time? We haven't been to either, and it looks like we will probably have to choose between the two. So, which one? (there is myself, my hubby, my 6yr old son, my mom and her new hubby)

Thanks. Dalayney:kiss:

For lunch? Sci-Fi Dine In and get a burger (their food isn't that great beyond their burgers, which I don't think they serve @ dinner).

For dinner? 50's Primetime

As Erika said ;)

I've only done the Sci-Fi (about 3 in the afternoon). It is slightly kooky in there with old Sci-Fi B-Movies showing, you sitting in a car, and waitresses on rollerskates, but definately an experience. The food was nothing special though.

Your six year old will love Sci-Fi!! The movies playing are funny and the food is okay, but the whole eating in a car thing is to great to pass up for a kid!!

50's Prime Time no question. I have only heard so-so reviews on the Sci-Fi but I love the homestyle meals of the 50's Prime Time. Piority Seatings are a must for this location though. Belle

50s Prime Time hands down without a question. The food is deliciously prepared homecooked style and resonably priced.

However, Sci-Fi is a burger and specialty sandwich joint, yet has fairly high prices for thesimple food you get.

Just make sure you get a PS.

They both have great atmosphere...maybe Sci Fi alittle more but Sci Fi is better for lunch or if you want hamburgers and things like that for dinner. The 50's Primetime is entertaining and great food prob better for dinner or whenever you want to.

You could always try 50's Prime time for the actual dinner (i.e. entrees) and then head over to Sci-Fi for some dessert.
Excellent idea.

I don't think the Sci Fi is worth it for a dinner. Great place for dessert, though. You get the fun without the overpriced mediocre foot.

Scifi is also a good place for a midday "get out of the sun, get a Coke and a snack" place.

I've enjoyed both, for different reasons.

I'd go with 50's Prime Time since you are with your family, especially a new family member. The food is good homestyle comfort food sitting around the kitchen table. The atmosphere is quite kitschy and fun and your server will provide a lot of good humor for you also... It's a very fun place and your family will probably enjoy it!

The Sci-Fi is a cool place to eat, but when seated in the cars everyone is facing the movie screen which hinders conversation and interaction since you'll wind up watching the screen. It's a fun place and the movie loop is hysterical, but if I was traveling with my family and had to choose I'd pick 50's Prime.

I say Sci-Fi hands down.

I wasn't OVERLY impressed with either's food, but the Sci Fi atmosphere is the bomb!

However, I would go to the Prime Time bar and get a milkshake. Those rock!

Why decide got to Sci-Fi for lunch and Prime time for dinner. In all honesty Sci-Fi is probably a little better for lunch. Their menu consists mainly of burger and fires type stuff. Prime Time is comfort food meatloaf, pot roast etc. which can be a little heavy for lunch. If I could do only one it would be Prime Time. The food is better and the atmosphere is like nothing else you have ever seen. Your cousin is your waiter. You will get yelled at if you don’t eat all your veggies or if you put your elbows on the table. If you cause too much trouble you will wind up singing the teapot song or you may be put it the corner. Prime Time is the most fun you will ever have at a meal.

You might want to check out signing up for the Disney Dinning Experience card. You need to have an Annual Pass or live in Fl to qualify but for $50 a year you get 20% of all your meals and beverages (including alcohol) at the participating restaurants. We saved $40 in just 2 days.
