Saw two things for the first time

During our visit last week, I finally had an opportunity to see the Electrical Water Pageant from the beach at Wilderness Lodge. There were a bunch of lounge chairs set up, and we were easily able to claim 4 for our family 5 minutes before the show began. Since it gets such little publicity compared with the big park fireworks shows, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised! What a delightful show. Our 11 year old son especially enjoyed it. For those that have never seen it, it's worth seeing.

I also finally got to see DeVine at the AK for the first time. What a cool and unusual show she puts on. Definitely worth seeing as well.

We also enjoy the Electric Water pageant. We usually go over to the Poly and sit on the dock or the beach. Very nice.

I love the EWP, we stayed at the GF in 2008, so saw it from our balcony. I would watch it most nights, after all these years I think it still does the job, just hearing the music makes me feel like I'm there.

In Sept 2010 we stayed at The Poly looking out at the Lagoon but I never once saw the Water Pageant, I sometimes heard it in the distance, I was really disappointed. I was staying in Tahiti Building, anyone know why I missed it?:(

How fun for you, both things I haven 't expereinced yet. Seeing the electrical parade was on my list last time, but the night I had it planned, it was cold and I was tired, so we never went. Also never saw Devine, DH did once. She popped out and scared him to death. He was running to EE to get fastpasses, while I took my son to Dinoland.

That's one thing I wish I got to see last week was the Electrical Water Pageant..Though I did get to see DeVine in AK she does put on quite a show. At first I wondered why are all these people looking at a tree, then I noticed she was wrapped around it

We have never seen the Electrical Water Pageant either - we are planning to see it on our next trip.

We have seen DeVine several times at the AK - it is a unique experience.

EWP is one of the little hidden treasures that I love to see. Watching it from the beach at the poly with a drink and the castle in the background is a great experience.

Totally agree. It is one of those special Disney touches that adds to the overall experience and value of your vacation.

We stayed at FWC last fall and we saw the EWP several evenings while there. We were located in the 100 loop closest to the marina so on the nights we did not venture over to the beach we were able to hear the music from it. Love it.
We saw Ms. DeVine for the first time in Jan 2010 and I almost walked into here looking at my map:hammer:. It was really cool to see how she moved - at the time she was trying to engage a young man about 8 or so boy did he jump when he realized that she was moving!

I'm looking forward to the EWP when we stay at Wilderness Lodge in May. We have caught glimpses of it as we have been leaving MK in the past so I'll be pleased to see it properly.

DeVine however, gives me the creeps!

We've seen the ELP both from the waterfront by Wilderness Lodge, and again from our lake view balcony in Bay Lake Tower.

Never seen DeVine though...

we always run over to the Contemporary at 10 and watch it from the dock... it was awesome before they built the bridge to the DVC, because you could also watch wishes from the dock, and they played the music on the dock speakers... can't see that anymore, but the EWP is worth it :)
Esp. when you get there early, and get to watch all the non-floridians freak out over the size of the tiger mosquitos on the lights of the dock
