Of course it's still active...because the same handfull of people are hoping that Disney execs will read their ramblings and reopen the AC.

They are using this board for their own personal agenda.

What I can't believe is that the moderators havn't figured it out yet and either closed this thread or moved it to the retired attractions section.

I wouldn't have a problem with this thread being here but there's never any new news...it's just the ramblings of a few disgruntled AC groupies grasping for a last straw of hope that someone will read their pleas and discontentment rants and reopen a club that has been shut down for over a year because it wasn't finacially successful.

I think that those of you who are fans of the year long closed AC should do the proper thing and complain and give your suggestions to The Disney Company where they will be heard and concidered instead of hoping they will come here and read your thoughts and wishes.

My point is that you're barking up the wrong tree and you are taking up valuable board space for personal and selfish reasons.

Perhaps you can all become Facebook friends and then you can all discuss this long closed attraction all you want.

I have only been in AC club once and not for very long so......

Why did you even waste your time writing that bunch of garbage? That was a bigger waste of time than all the AC fans who post here trying to get the club reopened. We understand Disney isn't making their plans by looking at this thread. So the only person barking up the wrong tree is you, we really don't care if you have a problem with this thread or any other thread. Like others have said don't click on it.......Hello

While I hardly consider myself a rabid fan of the AC, I did enjoy it. However, I don't see the harm in a thread that lets fans of the club come together. How in the world is it taking up valuable board space any more so than many other attraction thread? Is the internet all of a sudden so crowded that other threads are being squeezed out of existence by this thread's very existence?

If in fact, that's ALL you want to do is come together and discuss AC, I have no problem with that. But when I open a thread in the news and Rumors section, I expect just that.

I read this thread every time something new is posted. Why? Because I expect some news about the attraction...is is reopening? Is it being torn down?...has something replaced it? But instead I get to read about someone complaining over and over about what a big mistake it was to close the club and how stupid Disney Management is for closing it.

I don't want to read that in this section of the board and no one should have to.

The fact is...this is a Closed attraction and has been closed for over a year, so in my opinion, any talk of it should be either in the chit chat section or the past attractions section.
If all the AC fans want to do is discuss AC, then you shouldn't have a problem with where the thread is located should you? But you do. You want it front and center so some day. maybe, just maybe, some Disney Exec will notice you and reopen the club...and to me that's using this board for your own agenda...which is wrong.
That's all I'm sayin.

I gotta admit, I never made it to the AC before it closed. That being said, it's more of a waste spending time complaining about a thread than it is to simply keeping walking on by it......

Yes you already said that, and it really doesn't matter.

When more new information and news about AC comes out we will send you a personal message so you don't have to keep looking at the thread.......yeaaaaaaa a solution! But I don't really think thats the problem, you just like being a Debbie downer.

As long as that gutted building sits there waiting for something to happen to it, it remains a viable live topic for discussion. As long as the rumors continue that AC will reopen in some form somewhere on property, this thread remains viable.

9 hours just to get into Harry Potter!!! The only time I've ever seen people lined up for 9 hours at Disney was...well, to get into the Adventurers Club the final night.

Universal opens a popular attraction, it's hailed as a game-changer. Disney opens a popular attraction, they close it down to rot empty for years.

On a more positive note, I went to a preview of the new "Treasure Tavern" adults-only dinner show last night (next door to Pirates Dinner Adventure, on I-Drive). Although I ultimately thought it owed more to Rosie O'Gradys--another fun bar--there are quite a few homages to the Adventurers Club. A Pirate Creed on the wall, a pair of puppets who comment on the action, walls covered in artifacts... Because the show is technically still in rehearsal I don't want to say too much, but it is very promising, and I definitely laughed quite a bit. And the food is actually good, light years ahead of the swill they serve next door. Worth a look if you'd rather spend your nights doing something besides the Chicken Dance in front of a vacant Club.

Uh... have you been on Ripshaw falls? Jurrasic park? Cat in the Hat? Spiderman? Sure they can build great attractions, but FAIL when it come to maintaining them.

I give them til the end of summer before the video monitors are projecting test patterns, or the windows reset screen, or just covered up.

These people are waiting 9 hours to see it while everything still works.

I have some pictures that I need to upload of Adventurer's Club. I have never been, but when I passed it that night it seemed kind of scary to have it sitting there empty. As soon as I can find the pics, I will post them on here.

I also heard that it was going to be reopened some time soon.

The changes coming to what is currently known as Pleasure Island will include the AC building be torn down along with significant changes to the way the island currently is designed along with how it looks and feels. Pleasure Island will not exist in less then 24 months

I loved the AC as much as the next but i can promise you, not happy about it, that the AC as we knew it is gone for good. No fan site thread or Facebook page is going to change the plans that are in motion.

I have to say that Pleasure Island hasn't really existed for quite some time now. There isn't a whole lot of pleasure going on there, its a cemetary. As for your prediction, your really not going out on much of a limb saying that in 2 years things won't exist. Heck your post sounds like the original post to the "changes at DTD" thread which was started over a year ago. So this is some pretty stale information.

On that day, I will be the guy standing off to the side hurling insults at anyone I can identify as a manager or TDO suit.
Morons. I wish them painful sores and long days begging for food on the side of the road.:fork:

You could lie down in front of the bulldozer a la Arthur Dent (and I'd be quite impressed if you were able to convince a TDO suit to lie there for you while you bought a Kungaloosh! from the drink kiosk)
