Save the Adventurers Club

I think that's debateable.

It hasn't been made clear, that's for certain.
Um..they are not banned..you can look at their profiles and see that.

Many people come and go from these boards for many reasons...I do not think that anyone needs to be made clear why a few posters are not posting.

If someone wants to know where a certain poster is they can PM them or ask Steve or a mod.

I can make it clear for you. Some members who have been active in this thread decided to create a website which contained a thread of hundreds of posts, spanning several months, where they were basically organising disruption to WDWMAGIC (multiple usernames, trolling, attacking members etc). The site was largely a WDWMAGIC hate site. One of their members sent me a large number of screen shots detailign what was being said and by who. Once they discovered that I knew exactly what was taking place, they chose not to post here. I can't really imagine they would be welcome to post on a site that they indicated in many posts that they hate so much. Afterall, all of the members here are guests of mine. If they hate me and the site, why post here?

Wow. Can't believe people would go to all that trouble. I wondered why certain people had been missing from the boards this weekend and why it was considerably slow conversation-wise. Not sure who it was, but it's too bad you had to deal with all of that.

Geez. Well thanks for telling us what happened. It just seemed very odd and highly unusual for quite so many folks to just up and disappear... Yet none of their accounts showed "banned". That's what didn't seem to add up. Why aren't the accounts of these folks showing as "banned"? Isn't that SOP?

Either way, this is an important nugget of information, and it's buried now in the "Save the Adventurer's Club" thread. :hammer::lol:

If all this is true, they should stay away and it would be nice if the casual member could avoid throwing them a pity party or a vigil for their absence.

It would seem that a site this big does not need any one particular member to get along very well, no matter who they are, other than the host. But from time to time, an individual or small group can get carried away with his/their own sense of importance.

People will always want to express opinions outside of what Steve has said is acceptable. That in turn will grate on some , while others will oblige but turn there efforts to other chat boards. It's actually very reasonable that Steve hasn't banned them fully. Perhaps they'll return one day, to this thread and others....

what happened, I am very confused.

Disney closed this place at Pleasure Island called "The Adventurer's Club." It was a unique type of place, sort of a combination of a bar and a stand up, improv, dinner theater. Despite efforts to have the company reconsider its position, Disney sent all its props to Hong Kong and other places and reassigned its entertainment staff to jobs at American Idol and the streets of the Disney Hollywood Studios.

. . .

That's what you were talking about, right? :lookaroun

I'm sorry, but there is A LOT of spin in this post.

Um, you did read the part where Steve said he has screen shots of your little website, right? (Yes, we all saw your username on there) How exactly is that "spinning" anything? You guys did it, you got caught, and as Steve put it, you all are no longer welcome here. Why he hasn't banned all of you is beyond me.

it's always a matter of perspective.. It's steve's site, and what he says goes.. doesn't make him right, doesn't make him wrong.. it's just the way it is..

simple facts are.... Is Steve overprotective of the site and it's content? Yes.... Does he have a right to be? Yes...

Sometimes it sucks, sometimes it doesn't .. such is life I guess..
