Happy 4th of July Everyone! And for you Pleasure Island Histarians out there:

The story begins in New South Frewsberg, Pennsylvania, on July 4th, 1873. “Gold Rush Gus” Pleasure, free-wheeling millionaire prospector/explorer, paces in his study. A smiling nurse enters and announces the birth of a bouncing baby boy to him and his wife, the former Miss Lydia LaMarr, an early star of the American stage (known professionally as “The American Venus”). The boy is named “Merriweather” after Gus’ own father. . .

. . .Their first son, Stewart, is born on July 4th, 1901. A second son, Henry, is born in 1905, also on July 4th. . .

. . .On July 3rd, 1911, his daughter and the last Pleasure child, Merriam is born. Merriweather has the date legally changed to July 4th. Merriam proves to be the most beloved of his children, a soul-mate, friend, and companion on his round-the-world jaunts. . .

. . .Henry Pleasure marries ZENOBIA DUBOIS, Kissimmee Society Debutante, on July 4th,1926. . .

. . .An elaborate wedding worthy of royalty is held when Pleasure’s daughter Merriam marries an ambitious tango composer from Argentina, Raoul Manzanera, on July 4th, 1933. . .

Oh the Pleasure Family, as American as apple pie and Walter Elias Disney (Why else would he rename The -Sherohman Floating Arts Palace the Empress Lilly)!

Well Adventurers, unfortunately today we lost another proud building of Merriweather Pleasure's design and while we may be losing a few more in the days to come, take solace in the fact that our beloved Adventurers Club is not facing this fate. How am I so sure? Two items, 1.) The Landings Concept Art shows the Adventurers Club still standing,

as does 2.) The current DTD maps indicating both Mannequins and The Adventurers Club surviving.

Never give up Adventurers, one day we will be enjoying another Hoopla! Our Club may go through some changes before they get it right again, but by Merriweather, our Club will rise again!

And I hope to enjoy it with you when you do! (Never got to experience the original Adventurer's Club)

The only way to get disney to even remotely consider its return will be with cash! Somebody needs to get the kickstarter idea going. I personally pledge $300 to it just for starters! Stop talking about it and act!

I realize this is of little consequence and almost no importance (since it is something that happens to people daily). But, we ran into Blondie in the Rose and Crown this afternoon while enjoying a pint. Shared a quick and subtle "Kungaloosh" with him before he was off for a show in UK. Bittersweet. Glad to see him, but sorry for the location.

Hope you're correct but I would like to point out that the concept art shows the 8TRAX building & the surf shop building standing there next to Mannequins but the guide map shows both gone. So it's possible the concept art is no longer accurate.

Has there been any update to the Concept art?
