Save the Adventurers Club

Since the concept art depicts the roof of the Adventurers Club, is there any hope of it returning? Or was it just put there as another tease? Rumor has it that there are quite a few things in the released concept art that actually are not part of the final plans.

I believe Lee said it would be a "cafeteria/club" concept. Which sounds oxymoronic, but there it is. Some other concept art floating around clearly shows the building, but with a train coming out the side, which seems to have little to so with a cafeteria and even less to do with a club. But I think it's safe to say AC is not a part of the current Disney Springs plan.

Just saw this over at the "Save the Adventurers Club" Facebook group:

Kungaloosh Adventurers,

Exciting news for this year's ConGaloosh Weekend! A new side project has been developed entitled "Adventures in Charity" and will be a show in the "Hoopla" tradition, starring some of our favorite Permanent Members: Andrea Canny, Philip Nolen, Karl Anthony, Graham Murphy, Jim Roberts, Sheila Smith Ward, Joy Anderson Bowes, John Connon, Mindy Wally Dietterich and Joy Anderson Bowes with proceeds benefiting the individual actor's charity of choice!

It will take place Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 6:00PM at the:
Holiday Inn Resort Lake Buena Vista
13351 State Road 535, Orlando, Florida 3282

Now just to keep things clear, this is not a Disney sponsored event. Stay tuned to the event page to find out how to order tickets, info on a silent auction and details about the cocktail hour!

I am so glad to see so many people still fighting for the return of The Adventurers Club. I am in the Planning stages of setting up my next visit to WDW. It is always a bittter sweet time planning a trip to WDW when I think about the fact that going to DTD will not include a stop at the great Adventurers Club. Im always hoping here that it makes a triumphant return someday!

Well I'm actually looking forward to standup comedy from some of the original performers. I like this charity idea and I think it's a great concept.

While the club may not live on, it's memory and comedians that brought it to life are out there trying to do a good cause.

Kungaloosh! The Adventures in Charity site is live (www.AdventuresinCharity.org), and tickets for September's unoffical Adventurers Club reunion are available. See 10 former AdvClub performers on stage together for the first time since the Club closed its doors!

Just $15 for general admission, or $35 for VIP, which lets you sit up front at a Library-like table and enjoy a VIP cocktail party with the performers after the show. All proceeds go to charity, with the lion's share going to the best performer that night as chosen by the audience.

VIP tickets are limited, and will sell out fast, don't wait around to buy one.

I walked past the adventurers club last night. I hate seeing all of the planters hiding the building. It's so sad. Please TDO Bring back my favorite place at DTD.

Thanks for bumping the thread gonnichi, but at this point even I am having trouble holding out hope. It's like all those people that protested Mr. Toad, Horizons and WOL closings to no avail. For some reason TDL and a lot of other people (many that post on these boards) just don't see what we have seen. :(

Sadly people are going to have to face it, AC is going down the path of Mr.toad horizons, and WOL. The reason why is that the space can be used for a better attraction business wise, that is exactly what happened to Mr. Toad. Mr toad had lost most of its movie popularity and there was no revenue coming from it which the new option, Winnie the Pooh, would.

I don't know if this has been posted on this thread already (haven't the time to look through all 198 pages) but i suspect the addition of props from the club to the boneyard section of the studio's backlot tour would indicate a lack of returning club.

Or the downfall of the Backlot Tour.

What does artifacts from a nightclub have to do with a Studio Backlot tour?

VIP tickets for the Adventures in Charity event have sold out.
General Admission tickets do remain at this time.
www.AdventuresinCharity.org

$15 for a full night of comedy is a bargain--not to mention the chance to reunite with fellow AdvClub fans (and all the money goes directly to the performer's charities, so the good karma from that). In addition, details still being hashed out, but there will be a silent autction with some rare AdvClub artifacts. Get your tickets now, before the lower tier sells out, too.

@Mouse Detective: Will you be there then? Look forward to meeting in person.

I hope this will not be the only time they do an event such as this. I would pay double that price for a VIP seat. Sadly I can not attend I have a prior commitment.
