Sandals at the World

If Jesserin really does have cute feet, I could let the flip flop thing slide.

The boots I wear are really comfy and have only been worn when it's been cold enough for long pants. The pants cover up the boot factor, so they really just look like shoes. They don't have the overt boot look of say Doc Martens.

On the other hand some people look great in really long black boots:D

We needed to buy moleskin at the store at POP and the sales clerk said Disney should own stock in Dr. Scholl's for all the moleskin they sell.

Hi Tramp,

I did send you a private message. But here goes. I bought Bodyglide in a store called RUNNING ROOM.

You have a better chance of buying it at a sports store for runners.

Have a great time (without blisters).

:)

I wear my keen sandals - they're more sneaker than teva since they have the toe cap, but they dry out real quick after a water ride...

This year it will be closer to 24 days although not all the days will be spent at Disney. It's one of the advantages of owning timeshare that we bought 25years ago.

I'd love to adopt you but all that paperwork is too stressful for an old dog like me. :p

Bought it today at a local sports store. The people in the store swear by it...we're gonna give it a try. Thanks for the tip! :sohappy:

Blisters are the one thing that can really slow ya down!

I am going to add one vote to the "Reef" party. I have had 6-7 pair of them and they always feel great. I will say, the thicker the sole, the better. I wore a pair around the parks for 4 days straight last year, and my feet hurt by the end of the trip. If I were going that long again, I would throw a pair of sneaks or something with more support in the mix for at least a day.

And I give 2 thumbs down to those Crocs. I'm sure they are comfy and that's good, but they are really ugly. It's like advertising to the world that you really don't care what you look like. They may be OK with pants or utilitarian puposes, but with shorts in the summer, :hurl:

I agree with the others on the Reefs. They are fabulously comfy! I just love the ones with the bottle opener on the bottom! That feature can starts some interesting conversations and come in handy while relaxing on the beach!

Teva's are great! We just bought my DH a new pair for our next trip.

Bucklmd, have you tried the Croc Flops? They are just as comfy as the original Crocs but look SO much better (I agree on the originals being ugly). I have several of both... even the ugly ones. I plan on wearing my Croc Flops when I go in July.

Crocs sell flops? Hmmmmmmmmm, I may have to back out of my initial statement of how I'll never put those ugly things on my feet. They HAVE to look better than the other crocs, because they're the ugliest shoes ever.

I always wear sandals to the theme parks. My feet may hurt alot quicker b/c of no arch support, etc but I can't stand having cramped feet. Plus, when there's the daily afternoon torrential downpour, I can go running through the puddles without a worry.

I always wear Havianas! I have around 20 pair I use when I lifeguard. They're fairly cheap, comfortable, form fitting, light, & do not rub!

(I would recommend the "Top" style, it has the softest rubber & fits the best. The sandals with pictures are harder & not as comfortable)

Thanks, Kadee! I actually already hopped over there to give them a look. Not bad at all. I may try to find them in a store here locally rather than buy them online, because I need to see if they're as comfortable and amazing as everyone seems to say they are. I'm puuuuuuuutry skeptical. :)

Of course, if I do purchase them, I'll be sure to report back here first.

I have a pair of Nike sandals that are now about 3 years old and they are the most comfortable pair of sandals I've ever owned. If I were to go to Walt Disney World on a hot summer day when rain was expected, I would not hesitate to wear them. I prefer them to my brand new Croc flip flops.

Ordinarily, I wear tennis shoes when touring the parks, but that is not the question of this thread.

You are very welcome! Where I live, Dillards carries them as well as Shoe Station. I think some stores like Belk/McRae's/Proffitts (all the same company) are carrying them as well.

I think it also depends on the season you go to WDW. I can't imagine not wearing sandals or flipflops in the summer because of all the rain. The rest of you may be soaking wet but your feet'll dry in a few minutes once the sun comes back out :D But in those trickier temp wise winter months, sneakers aren't a bad idea since you have no idea whehter it'll be 70 or 40 degrees out.

Crocs---- yeah, those are the extremely ugly shoes I kept seeing around the parks on my last trip.

I can't imagine sandels would be comfortable at all!

Saucony Jazz without socks for me

I dont care if my feet stink
