I think I am coming to terms with this new style of runDisney medal. They are big, colorful, and just scream whichever movie they are connected to. They are not my favorite, but this clearly is the direction we are moving, and have been, for several race years.

I guess I’m easy to please, but I enjoy these medals. Really solid themes for this weekend.

Strange though that the cars medal is NOT a piston cup but whatever. I feel these designs are strong, but I am also a big fan of the weekend theme.

I’ll be running the challenge live for this weekend. Training actually begins soon.

EDIT: The challenge medal looks to be a double sided spinner.

I think the 5K and Challenge are both double-sided spinners. I’m guessing the aliens spin around on the 10-miler (like a propeller, not like a two-sided). And the 10K obviously has the door that opens and closes.

I’m kind of with @surfsupdon in preferring a more classic design. It’s not that these are objectively bad, they certainly didn’t go cheap with having movement or extra details in all of them, it’s just a personal preference. I kind of like the 5K and 10-miler, but the other two seem more like just jumbo pin-trading pins on a ribbon than finishers medals.

We haven’t done a meet up in awhile. I’ve got plans with other traveling companions on Monday after the races at MK (not that others couldn’t join us at MK except we’d only have one dining reservation spot for our Be Our Guest lunch), **but** if anybody wants to try to do a meet up for some rides and/or food at some parks sometime Thurs-Sunday, let me know.

I am happy with the Springtime Surprise courses, but I just compared the two Springtime Surprises and the courses seem identical not that there is anything wrong with that. Is there any difference?

Wish they would do something to spice up miles 5-8 in the 10-miler. It’s super interesting in the beginning and then it’s 4.5 miles of road (ish) which I understand.

Besides the 5K obviously switching parks to EPCOT.
