RUMOR: WDW purposely restricting FOP fastpasses

Well guests have been conditioned, it doesn't mean they aren't partially to blame. There are guests that just like the queues and understand the attraction starts when you enter them. This gets lost on most guests and they are ignorant of the fact that the ride vehicle is only phase 2 of most rides. Disney plays a major role in dumbing down the attractions and the parks for them but the average guest certainly play their part.

I cannot give this post enough 'Likes'.

And, gee, Disney could maybe be thinking about a paid FastPass option? Didn't see that one coming years ago...

At 30 days out, Flight of Passage is the only attraction that doesn't have availability for 2. I suspect what's happening is they haven't figured out what a realistic hourly capacity is for the attraction and are reducing Fastpass+ for that reason.

If they are reducing FP, part of it may be because anytime a theater goes down they put everyone from that theater back into the FP line. I got evac'd just before boarding and we were given two FPs for any attraction. I suppose I could've gone thru FoP FP twice but I used the second on NRJ because I hadn't ridden yet.

The stand-by line is artificially made longer by reducing FP.

@Sped2424 suggested they could use the nearly empty shops right behind the queue. I don't ever really see anyone in them and they're tucked away so they seem ripe for an extended queue. No other place really unless they want the queue going up the ramp and out the door

Actually back in the 80s when this did have a line, those shops were part of the queue. They became shops later when it was no longer needed.

I mean Orlando, it's almost perfect, so we can agree to disagree. :geek:

I like Orlando's too. I was just continuting the joke. :)

But if Tokyo had "boiler room" style loading like Orlando... It would be tops.

I hate how on the other versions, the elevator door opens for boarding... And you have to cross a hall and go through another elevator door to get in the elevator!!!! Ticks me off. That is Tokyo's ONLY flaw, IMO.
