I believe that was just a rumor and turned out to be false.

That rumor surfaced during one of the "seasonal" closures of WoL... Saying that Body Wars wasn't functional anymore, with some rumors saying it was completely dismantled for parts.

But then it was open during the holidays after that again. :lol:

I seem to remember reading somewhere in an article that "there was never any truth to the idea that Body Wars was used for parts, or broken down."

yep, that is why i put that disclaimer on the bottom part. All that discussion could have been rumors, fabrications or the complete truth.

Yeah...It seems to have died down a bit ...I remeber back in the spring rumors where EVERYWHERE.
Something that has died down-SSE...Are there ANY plans to finish it?

I agree, I think before they build other things these two need tending to first!! I think Imagination is still a go but when exactly is the question. It seems like it keeps getting pushed back. Is Kodak still on board or will they be dropping?

SSE, well I wont say I lost hope, but I'll believe it when I see it, in terms of them finishing it. To do anything worth while it seems like it would have to close again and I dont see that happening. I guess they could do stuff at night? But I dont see how. Theres too much space to complete and stuff.

sounds exciting. There was a Dvd I bought...probably the little mermaid...lol...which showed a preview of a ride that was going to be created about the little mermaid but never was, maybe it will be like that? Although that would also be pushing it to be a lot like Nemo ride....but then again a lot of rides are alike....ex:Dumbo, Alladins Carpets, and Astro Orbiter. Wow that was a lot of speculation and thought. probably all wrong too hehe

When will the 40th be celebrated? All of 2011 or 10/1/2011 thru 10/1/2012?

The only thing that i think that is not true is moving the hat. in DHS. I think most of the epcot, Animal kingdom and Magic Kingdom stuff is true.

I don't think Mt. Fuji or Australia are coming to Epcot at all. I was under the impression that Mt. Fuji ultimately became Expedition Everest. I know that there was a new ride concept being worked on for something in World Showcase but I don't know whether this is for a rumored bullet train attraction or something completely different. I had read that they were working on a CTX rover style boat, but i have no idea if there's any truth to that.
The smaller rides probably speak to JII and possibly another World Showcase dark ride.
As for a new pavillion, I would love to see Russia as a pavillion, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. Australia/Oceania belongs as a small land in the Animal Kingdom. I feel this could be done fairly easily with Finding Nemo The Musical as the starting point. Move the Kangaroo's and the Wallaby's into a small walk through with Koalas and Dingoes, and you've got a pretty nice walk through. Another dark ride would make it that much better.

Disney's Hollywood Studios:

  • Studio Tram Tour removal in 2010
  • Pixar Place expansion into tram tour land with the Monster's Inc. ride by 2012
  • Star Tours Update: earliest being 2010, latest being 2012
  • Great Movie Ride update by 2012
  • New E-ticket based on a big film by 2012 rivaling Harry Potter (My speculation: Could be based on Cars, Narnia, The Bow and the Bear, newt, Rapunzel, or The Princess and the Frog)
  • Hat moving to another location in DHS by 2012 (My speculation: Fantasmic!? Animation Backlot?)

If I had to guess, the big film would be Lord of the Rings. I think it's widely agreed that the Hat itself isn't bad, it's just the placement of it. Perhaps move it over on top of the "animation" building where it belongs?

Disney's Animal Kingdom:

  • Some attraction (ride/show/thingy) in Pocahantas' theatre space with amazing theming by 2012 (My speculation: How much room do they have there?)
  • The Lion King moving to Africa by 2012
  • New E-ticket by 2012
  • New land between Asia and Africa by 2012 (My speculation: Linked to the new ride? Beastly Kingdom?)

I'm hoping for both Australia (between Dinoland and Asia) and the Jules Verne style land (perhaps called Europe, to take the place of Camp Minnie Mickey).

None of this is an actual rumor, just wishful thinking to the extreme.

1) make a section of DHS that has a Star Wars Cantina (sp?) Restaurant and a Hanger walk through were you can see an actual size replica of the Millennium Falcon.
2) Create South America in AK and put a certain kind of... oh lets say Temple in there that has something to do with someone named after a state and some of the ideas expressed in jungle trek and possibly a restaurant called the Adventurers Club. OR create the beastly kingdom and bring a journey to the center of the earth-ish ride in
3) Have the Snow White roller coaster, The Little Mermaid ride and beauty and the beast kick off the re-modeled fantasy land
4) Tomorrowland gets a motion ride like Spiderman themed to Meet the Robinsons
5) Epcot goes retro with JII, Epcot gets a Greece Pavilion with a themed ride about mythology
6) WoL is re-done to focus on new tech with health, Cranium Command is updated, body wars is redone themed to nano-tech. OR the pavilion is redone completely to re-hash Horizons.
7) And finally, the monorail is extended to AK, DHS and my house. LOL

Brilliant. Steam Punk anything is a good idea. Oceania/ Australia would be a great idea. As long as they threw in some ocean related animals, I believe the animal kingdom would be complete. It does seem to be the only thing missing from that park.
