It’s absolutely 100% IP.You're talking about a non IP ride happening in the Chapek era. Yeah right

? I'm talking about Disney Movie/Show IP. Chapek would rather slap a Zootopia sticker on it than some singer. It’s absolutely 100% IP.
Such plans have been in a state of general possibility for over a decade by now, during which time several artists (such as Paramore, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, and - for a brief period in 2010 - the cast of glee) have been proposed and contacted for the idea, although plans have never yet gone as far into the realm beyond the drawing board as they currently are.
They're already dead so they can go on forever (I guess, unlike Aerosmith, members actually are dead).Ever hear of the Grateful Dead? Dead and Company is doing another US Tour later this year. Band members are in their mid 70s and early 80s.
When they eventually change it, it either needs to be more generic for the preshow and theming where they can just change out songs or do short term tie ins that can be swapped out. At the time they partnered with Aerosmith, it was a band that was very popular in the 1970's, 1980's and 1990's. Therefore, it was a recognizable and liked band by a couple of generations. This is pretty funny to read and I don’t think there’s a chance of it happening but...
To all of the people saying this is a bad idea because she may only be popular for a short period of time, what does it matter? All Disney really has to do is record a new preshow video and change some signs, which is cheap and quick. Hopefully they’d change some props to reflect 2021 pop star instead of 1990s rock band but even that isn’t super expensive. The small investment they make would pay off in a small amount of time, and so in a couple years they could do the same for the next star, and it would be even cheaper. I’m not advocating for it but Bob Chapek seems like he’s been itching to do something just like this.
"Food Fighters" would be a good choice. They could also bring back Kitchen Cabaret and use them there as well! There is always someone hot in the moment and these examples are why we won't see what is du jour as a selected option. While the likes of Paramore, Ed Sheeran, and Bruno Mars are still relevant, they are still not as time tested as the likes of an Aerosmith.
It's also hard to bank on real people and their unknown baggage. Of course it's said there are contingency plans if something about Aerosmith members arises, but banking on baggage not coming out later is really difficult. Disney faces enough complaints about Johnny Depp in Pirates so I can't imagine they're interested in basing an entire attraction on a person they literally cannot control.
They have a nice sweet spot with Aerosmith and it's worked well for a long time. If replacing with a musician I'd I'd think more along the lines of a Red Hot Chili Peppers or Food Fighters, but again, always baggage issues. I'd place more money on some animated IP replacement, something Disney has an easier time controlling the characters and from which there's more separation between character and voice actor vs. a face character played by an actor (all Splash Mountain "issues" aside).
That they could. RnRC featuring "insert artist(s) here" isn't a terrible concept. Shame "Radio Disney" just folded; would have made a good synergistic sponsor. I bet Sirius XM would consider it.
Would a revolving artist approach bring guests to the park?
So they close one American idol attraction 6-7 years ago. Why open another for an ailing show ?After I wrote that I remembered Disney has American Idol now. Maybe the winner gets to be featured in the ride for a year. That would raise the stakes.

They are younger than the Rolling StonesThis is one rumor that must come true at some point. I don't think Aerosmith will keep performing into their 80s. Therefore, they will eventually have to change it to something else.
As a New Jersey resident. I would love for Bruce to takeover the ride. However, he is too political and politics needs to stay out of the parks.I think Bruce Springsteen to replace Aerosmith will be might worked than Olivia Rodrigo. Each songs will heard from on-board soundtrack such as Born to Run, Born in the USA, Jungleland, Out in the Street, Dancing in the Dark, Hungry Heart, Atlantic City, Human Touch, Tunnel of Love, etc...
Yeah, I think Bon Jovi could worked I think. Heck I can see Electric Mayhem Band from the Muppets could takeover. That would be awesome! As a New Jersey resident. I would love for Bruce to takeover the ride. However, he is too political and politics needs to stay out of the parks.
I guess I live under a rock No clue who Olivia is. I think it would be great to retheme this ride since it came out in 1999, but not sure what the theme should be.Hello everyone!
My friend is an insider who works for Walt Disney World in Florida. My friend has reported to me that imagineers have been working to retheme the Rock n Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith at Disney's Hollywood Studios for a while, as Aerosmith is no longer as popular a band with as much mass appeal as it was at the time of the rides' debut in 1999. There have been a few ideas proposed, such as retheming the ride to one of various Pixar properties such as the door vaulter scene in Monsters, Inc. or the Incredibles. Many people who work for disney are proponents of the less expensive but still rather enduring concept of keeping the ride's current unique theme as a roller coaster themed to music, but switching out the featured musical act.
Unless you have been living under a rock during the year 2021, you must be aware of ascendant pop icon Olivia Rodrigo. In a span of months, she has racked 2 Billboard Hot 100 #1 singles (the transcendent power ballad drivers license and pop-rock explosion good 4 u), which happens to be one more than Aerosmith have accrued in their decades-long career. Her debut studio album Sour, which was released on May 21, has held the highest US sales of any album in a week of this year with almost 300,000 units. Not only is her music extremely commercially successful, it is also very good (this is obviously subjective, but I like her music and so do most people I have talked to as well as critics). In genre, her music can be best described as at the center of a three way venn diagram between levitating bedroom balladry, unkempt psychadelic grunge, and uptempo pop-rock, although perhaps more instrumental to her musics success than the production is the lyrics and themes. She sings with honesty, specificity, and humor, conveying the abstract pangs of angst and heartbreak as a vivid image of the rebellion and sadness of youth.
In fact, Rodrigo has shined so brightly in the past few months it has been easy to forget the fact that she is a Disney Channel star like Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, and Selena Gomez before her, having starred in Bizaardvark and currently starring in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. In fact, my insider friend has reported that Disney is trying to negotiate a contract with Rodrigo to allow the licensing of her solo music (which has been released by the label Geffen Records, the same label that has worked with Aerosmith) in the ride currently known as Rock n Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith, as well as to film an all-new pre-show starring Olivia herself. The plan is for the track layout to stay roughly the same, although plans have been thrown around for the space between the ride’s loading area and launch to be extended, accommodating for a new, slow-moving dark ride scene built around Rodrigo’s deceptively gentle but extremely powerful signature track drivers license. The more intense parts of the ride will be soundtracked by higher-octane tracks by Rodrigo such as brutal, deja vu, and good 4 u.
So, what do you think of these rumors? Would you like to see Aerosmith replaced with Olivia Rodrigo? Would you be sad to see Aerosmith go?
Who told you that? I was told Chuck E. Cheese and his band would be the soundtrack. Heard it from an Uber DriverI heard the original Mickey Mouse Club was going to record a new soundtrack. must be true I heard it from a bus driver
