Indy in Adventureland (possibly Lost Expedition) and Western River Expedition in Frontierland. Also Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square so each land on that side gets something new.

If a volcano/mountain is included, I'm sold on Indy! Plus, Adventureland could really use its own mountain (Fantasyland too... the midget Dwarf Mine doesn't count :p)

  1. Bald Mountain and Arendale behind IASW/Mermaid (don't know if TDO would ever be willing to rework those backstage areas)
  2. Sugar Rush replaces Tomorrowland Speedway with room left to connect to a new Tomorrowland expansion.
  3. Philharmagic moved to Town Square
  4. Peter Pan takes over Philharmagic and the old bathrooms for a brand-new version of the classic ride
  5. Princess Fairytale Hall reconverted into a dark ride based on an underutilized Disney classic (Mary Poppins or Sleeping Beauty)
  6. Original E-ticket and Flying Saucers in Tomorrowland expansion area (beyond the berm)
  7. Laugh Floor relocated to DHS
  8. Laugh Floor replaced with either WALL-E or something original
  9. Stitch replaced with anything
MK might just rise back to its former glory... too bad Pandora, Disney Springs and MM+ are gonna potentially cost $4 billion combined...

American Idol was doomed after about 18 months. It's a shame if they close Indy, but at the same time I think the park needs something new.

....Would we really want loads of star wars though? I know it would be popular, but I like MGM.. Hollywood studio's even, because of it's variety and how it looks at movie sets/ behind the scenes stuff etc. Feel like too much star wars could kind of kill the theme.

That's my personal opinion anyway, even if it may be the unpopular opinion ;)

I agree. I don't want SW to be the HP of DHS

I like the idea of relocating PhilharMagic.

Only problem is that the attendence to that show would be about 40% less

But Pan would finally have a decent queue and high capacity ride experience. And you could always give the show an update when it's moved to Town Square. Have the Mickey M&G as the post-show option (you can only meet Mickey if you watch the show) and the attendance will be fine.

iii.East or West of The Mississippi - permitted uses shall be limited to the use of specific Marvel characters and Marvel may not permit a licensee to use the name “Marvel” as part of the attraction name or marketing.
Interesting.

Of course, Disney is not a licensee, are they?

That's in interesting legal question that I don't know the answer to. The contract was worded the way it is because Marvel clearly never intended to build their own theme parks so anyone using the characters would be a licensee.

Uni might be able to argue that the Marvel division of Disney would have to license the characters/name to the P&R division to be used in the parks.

Disney can't use any of the Marvel characters that Universal is currently using in Orlando in the WDW theme parks. However WDW can use them in need meet and greet at Disney Spings which is not a theme park.

Exactly, and I don't understand why they don't have some sort of entertainment show about Marvel at DTD/DS, similar to how they do the la nouba

It's also true that a big chunk of people are visiting for the very first time. The show is fresh, to them.

Fair point but you could use that argument for every single attraction and if you adhere to it then nothing would ever change at WDW. I'm a massive Indy fan and love the show but for one that's been running unchanged for nearly a quarter of a century, its had a good run.

I suspect that this fact is considered in the calculus every time that a change/addition is considered. Of course, considering it and 'adhering' to it are two wildly different things.

I think right now Disney and Comcast are playing nice. The two companies probably work much closer together than anyone realize. Disney needs Comcast to carry ESPN and the other Disney Channels and Comcast needs to keep Disney happy to get all the programming. They also help each other as far as attendance goes. No matter what anyone here says HP helps Disney and Universal is not big enough to draw the vacationer with out WDW. There will be a reasonable resolution when both companies wants to change things but not until both are ready.

I do think the show has run it's course. I love Indy and the show itself but it's really time to move on. I'm only disappointed in it leaving (whenever it finally does, not saying it is), because it leaves WDW without an Indy presence.

I said I wouldn't get into this but whatever, just one more post. Rather than expanding Peter Pan into that space I think it would be better to put a new ride there that could maybe take some people away from Pan. Put Mary Poppins in the Phillharmagic space and Sleeping Beauty where Fairytale Hall is.
