...THIS one...would...if it came to fruition...make me sick...to my stomach...for a variety of personal reasons...which I would not feel at liberty to dicuss...on a public forum...such as this...yeah... ...

Why don't you send me a note or pick up the phone ...I'd love to know why this bothers you so.
I hate to see fanbois unhappy. I am all sunshine, lollipops and rainbows ... maybe I should start a blog and pretend to be a girl. What? You say someone's beat me to the punch ... and the pumps? Oh well, perhaps, a podcast then ...:D

But they would then have the full rights to Mr Potato Head. Coming soon, Toy Story 4, centered on the hilarious adventures of My & Mrs Potato Head and the oft overlooked Potato Head kids.

....They appear on any filly or foal when they've found their special talent. It's a coming of age thing....

And this differs from a college co-ed getting a tramp stamp how??????

We should have Mickey Mouse himself, only inside Darth Vader's suit and mask (with mouse ears and a tail of course, riding a pony like it's some mighty war horse. In one hand he holds a lightsaber, in the other he has either Capt America's shield or Thor's hammer. Indy's whip strapped to his belt for good measure. It would be quite the mishmash and look completely over-bloated with items, but that's the point. :p

I suck at image editing though so someone else will have to do it.
I'm great at image editing... no idea how to post it on the board though...lol Everytime I try to post something it seems to need a web address or something...

according to wikipedia their 2011 revenue was 40.893 billion
WED-just a quick explanation in easier to understand terms...revenue is generally all of the money that comes in, and net income is the profit that remains after all expenses are paid. There is, of course, far more detail involved, but to keep it simple here, the net income/profit is what's left over to either return to shareholders as dividends or keep in the bank for future needs.

What if they're purchasing these brands (Marvel, Lucasfilms, Hasbros) to mean something big is coming?
The Hasbros possible purchase still has me stumped as to why they would want this..

Pixar and Lucasfilm I understand and approve of but I have to admit I am still completely baffled by the Marvel acquisition 3 years after the fact. When you look at it logically it does not make much sense. Sure, Disney gets marketable well-known characters and more cred with the male demographic but you end up with legal headaches such as Sony's ownership of the Spider Man films and the other various studios' marvel films, an entire land themed to the Marvel characters at a theme park with whom you are supposed to be competing limiting your ability to use the IP in your own park and if the Hasbro deal goes through you might find yourself marketing other studios' work. The minuses outweigh the plusses no matter how Iger tries to spin it.
The Sony issue has been settled; the only studio that does Marvel films that Disney has a bad relationship with is Fox. It would be nice to be able to clone Marvel attractions at WDW, but there are plenty of other ideas. It's not like there's a building rush at WDW, anyway. It's not like these issues were surprises to anyone; I don't think they're "headaches". Disney will probably make its $4B back just in Spider-Man toys over the next 20-30 years.

I agree with this as support in my last post. I think that if Disney could "dump" the parks they would. First I dont think anyone would buy them now. Think about it......the legal liability for a theme park must be incredible. The theme parks were designed and built in a different time....a different culture. Think about what the liabilities must go with having so many employees ? Maintaining the infrastucture for a resort the size of WDW is not unlike a small city. ( people wonder why it is so exspensive to visit?). In this economic climate its no longer about customer service.....customer satisfaction. Its about .....sadly the bottom line.

So sad and true... If Disney ever dumps their theme parks I wont be a Disney Fan any longer..

Could it be a that they wish to acquire Hasbro so they can control everyaspect and profit of the tons of Star Wars Merch they will no doubt have coming in 2015? Why just license to Hasbro and reap partial profit if you can own it and the production capabilities and control all the revenue stream ? No too sure about this rumor though...but then again I would have laughed at the Lucasfilm rumor too.

Does L:ucasfilm have exculsivity on Indiana Jones? I thought Spielberg was part owner in the franchise?
