A great deal of the rumors on this site (and other disney boards) aren't rumors at all...but folks innocently dreaming out loud or worse, intentionally trying to start something based in pure BS. Some of the rumors are based in fact, and usually the few in the know will let us know if there's any fire to go with the smoke...but a great deal of them are just ludicrous.

Here are two rumors I've heard.
  1. A new interactive adventure like Agent P and Sorcerers will come to Adventureland and be themed to Potc.The new adventure is to be called "Pirate’s Adventures: Jewels of the Seven Seas'
  2. A major refurb will come to Tomorrowland after Fantasyland.
I think number 1 could happen but number 2 on the other hand well……… o_O

really hope 2 is correct...tomorrowland is in desprate need of a major refurb.

I thought I had heard this would be for CA, not FL. I would love to see a major refurb of WDW's Torrowland...but it sure doesn't seem like the suits see anything wrong with it. I will hold out hope though...and at the very least...get rid of Stitch already...

While I'm a huge lover of the Pirates franchise, I'd really hate to see Pirates of the Caribbean oversaturated in the parks. I welcome what there going to be doing in the fall at Hollywood Studios, if only, because that Narnia attraction's time has come to pass and frankly what I'm reading about it sounds intriguing. I had my own ideas of seeing Disney expand or even transform Tom Sawyer Island into Tortuga where there would be a seafood restaurant and a pretty exciting ride modeled after Captain Jack and Will's sword fight on the water mill in Dead Man's Chest. I just never got around to sketching out the attraction but the ideas are still there. The Pirates franchise is clearly lucrative for Disney but I'd rather them increase merchandise of the attraction and Captain Jack as opposed to doing Pirate knock-off attractions at the other parks.

Now, if Disney would like to capitalize on more Depp starring projects, I'd be very interested to see what they would do with "The Lone Ranger" in Frontierland and I'm sure the thought has crossed there minds as well.

I'm neither dreaming out loud nor "intentionally trying to start something based in pure BS." What does it take around here? Lee and Raven both confirmed that the pieces of what I posted that they had knowledge of were legitimate. As for my original post being "too open ended to be taken seriously," I gave as much detail as I was comfortable giving without anyone getting into trouble. I'm neither a CP nor a cashier at Pecos Bill's claiming to have inside knowledge. My posts are legitimate and I'm sorry if you don't believe me.

Each park has something known as a "Master Plan" which refers to the five- and ten-year schedule of the major projects that will be coming down the road. These are usually very vague and might include items like "DHS Family D-Ticket" in 2015 (JUST an example, not real). The dollars are often allocated before specific projects are identified for WDI. For example, the DAK master plan had a ton of dollars earmarked for the park but they didn't know WHAT they were going to do until Avatar materialized. I don't know WHAT is contained within the DHS master plan at this point but I do know that the wheels are churning and the timeline is moving faster than they had originally planned.

Um wow. You needn't take my post personally. I was speaking in generics....I did indicate that those in the know (i.e. Lee, Raven, Marni, etc) would indicate if there's fire to go with the smoke. If you happen to be in the category of people who are reporting on reality. Hey, here's a medal! If you're not part of the problem, don't take offense.

The problem with these boards, as I've seen over the past few years, is that there's too many people posting "wish lists" instead of actual, real rumors.....I wish they would go on over to the imagineering board and post it there instead of posting malarkey here and waiting for Lee to shoot it down.
