Such a shame. And only a day after the anniversary of Walt's death. :( RIP!

I already started a thread about this as well. :( Sad, sad news...

(Looks like we started it at the same time...)

The same min. and everything.:o

Very sad news. :( Saw him on the VHS for Snow White when I was little talking about EPCOT and all the plans for Disney. It was a little like watching Walt. He'll be missed.:(

sad news

from wiki : Roy Edward Disney, KCSG (born January 10, 1930, died December 16, 2009[1]) was a longtime senior executive for The Walt Disney Company, which his father Roy Oliver Disney and his uncle Walt Disney founded. He is still a shareholder (over 16 million shares or about 1%),[2] and currently serves as a consultant for the company and Director Emeritus for the Board of Directors. He is perhaps best known for organizing the ousting of two top Disney executives: first, Ron Miller in 1984, and then Michael Eisner in 2005. He graduated from Pomona College in 1951.

This is truly sad news. There would be no Walt Disney Company today without his efforts and influence. He engineered the renaissance by leading efforts to bring Eisner and Wells into the Company and restore the Disney Animation legacy. The Disney community will definitely miss Roy. I assume Walt and Roy Sr. are waiting for him at the pearly gates with big pats on the back for keeping the Disney legacy alive. Rest In Piece.

Very sad news. I'll never forget listening to him during the Save Disney year at the Shareholders Meeting.

RIP. Very sad indeed. Reading the LA Times article he really seemed to be a tough old bird, dedicated to the animation studios that his uncle loved so much.

Rest in Peace Roy. You'll be missed but I know you'll have a front row seat in heaven with your dad and Walt to witness all of the joy your family brings to so many people everyday.

We've lost a great man today, who not only continued the legacy that is the Walt Disney Company but allowed it to be what it is today, may he rest in peace. I wish his family, friends, and the whole Walt Disney Co. my best on this very sad day...:(
