Thanks for all these updates 1313, I really appreciate them. Sorry to hear about that bus driver problem. But I'm with you, AP holders should get that bus service too. We know what we're doing--and going from DTD to a hotel early in the morning? That's gonna cause problems? We do get free parking. Keep us updated on your M:S adventures. I'll be there all next week, so maybe I'll run into you snooping around.

What's all this talk about specific prices for AP's--calm down people

Try telling that to a guest that paid as much for one night at thier Disney resort, as you did for your annual pass. Especially when you're taking up the last available seat, and they have to stand.

I'll be there 2. Watch a bunch of 14 year-olds snooping around Disney! Sounds like fun! :)

Your SOL on those days...It figures...Guys, I cant really tell anyone, anything. I get to ride it next week, and thats about all I can say, just use what I told you, and peice it together, and you should get a really good hint..Again, im so so sorry, but I'll ask a CM if I can tell anyone, and I'll go by what he says, but I was told not to say anything. I will have my "Room1313's Mission Space Report" up, so look for it..again so sorry

So I would guess that either: A) employee family members can ride (but no general public), B) premium annual pass holders can ride, or C) any annual pass holder can ride. Atleast two of the possible options are looking good for the general public.

Anyway, if they are doing "soft" openings "possibly" (I understand it's only possibly) in mid to late June, how will I know? Do I have to go to Epcot every day to see if it's open? Does one have to sit outside all day and wait to see?

Can someone give me some tips on how to accomplish this? Can you call Epcot and ask if there will be soft openings on any given day?

Thank you,
Christina

tips... sure, here goes

1- drop the attitude... the CM's picking the random guests won't choose the guest with attitude.

2-it will be random, so make yourself stand out (perhaps paint your face?)

3- it will be unnannounced, so bring a lawn chair and some water.. and maybe a book or a portable video game. If you have a laptop with a wireless card, there's a pretty good connection in certain parts of Epcot.

4- don't make a scene IF you get picked... draw attention to yourself, and you can count on being escorted away from Mission: Space.

5- don't make a scene if someone else gets picked... you can count on being escorted away from Epcot then.

6- BE NICE.

or random guest testing...

Thanks mkt! That explains the price difference. I just didn't understand why a CM would have to pay more than a regular guy. Obviously, they don't. Based upon some quick math, it would seem that a CM gets a 5% discount off the regular discount rate given to guests. Every little bit helps!

This and probably some other time during the week. O well!

Oh, see, that does make sense. Serves me right for jumping to conclusions. For some reason I thought you were just trying to discredit his story, or pick a fight. My apologies. And yes, we all do!

No, I would never want to pick a fight. However, I still question why he would have spent that much money on a PAP if his father is a CM. It just doesn't add up. Perhaps I am missing some other information. Also, no need to apologize to me. I think we're just seeking answers. :)
