News Rogers the Musical coming to the Hyperion Theater

I'll just say, there have been a fair amount of leads around the outside of the theater helping shout at the guests to stand back and wait for their barcodes.
Yup. A lead or manager named Todd was by far the rudest of the lot. He seemed genuinely angry that any guests wanted to enter via standby.

Thankfully Disney sent me a survey about my experience at DCA that day :).

It ends today? I figured they would keep it through the Labor Day weekend!
Yup, it only runs through Aug 31.

"...will perform for a limited-time engagement from June 30 through Aug. 31, 2023."

I’ll try to see the last show then! Very strange to not extend through the weekend.

This show can’t cost much more (if any) than the lion king show. They should at least keep it on for weekends.

Glad the crew got a moment to shine. Just goes to show how many people it takes daily to put on (even for a smaller scale show).

Glad some of the alts were able to come out also! I spot Cap, Peggy, and young/old Cap's respective alts. Same with the other cast and dancers.

Also pretty cool to see the ASL interpreters on the stage as they did a phenomenal job interpreting the show.

This just makes it all sadder that Frozen never got a (official) final bow at the Hyperion

I was there too!
The show had to pause at the end of End of the Line for about 30 secs due to the audience cheering.

Were these 2 the “main” Steve Rogers? I saw some other actors as well this week and wasn’t sure which ones were the mains vs. alternates cause they were all excellent.

As far as I know, there are only two main Caps, and they rotate often.

There are also 2 young/old separate Caps. They are shorter in height compared to main Steve(s).

The one in the tweet are the principal main and young/old Steve, so it was very fitting they did the final performance, as they also opened the show on its premiere. Also arguably the best versions of their character, but they’re all very good!!

Gotcha. I was there today for the 4:00 and 5:30 - I actually didn’t realize until today that I would get to see the last show cause I assumed it was closing after Labor Day weekend. Was a nice surprise!

I'll just say, there have been a fair amount of leads around the outside of the theater helping shout at the guests to stand back and wait for their barcodes. :p So it's not just the regular CM's who are there shouting because that's what they're told to do.

(But seriously, at this point, it's pretty clearly an Ops cluster combined with the terrible technology system of the virtual queue they've been forced to utilize. We're two months in. The show is soaring on all thrusters once inside. But getting inside? Still a huge mess. And this is for a show with less general appeal than any Disney blockbuster they might want to put in from the hoped for Hercules to Moana to Encanto. I can only imagine the epic disasters those would be with this queuing system. JUST USE STANDBY ONLY THEN CLOSE THE LINE WHEN FULL AND IT WOULD BE FINE. #FTFY)
I literally just don't get it. How is the virtual queue benefitting the company or the guests? It creates more of an operational nightmare so it isn't saving them any money on staffing. What was wrong with people lining up?

Side note (and not unique to Rogers) - I wish Disney would have cast boards for these shows. Some really talented actors that I would love to follow.

In Florida I’m surprised it’s not a requirement for equity… it should be.
I am honestly surprised that they don't have cast boards, especially since (most of?) the performers are both AEA (equity) and AGVA. A LOT of them have really impressive Broadway and regional credits.
