Remember that Steve takes the decision to ban somebody very seriously, and that that person must have done something very wrong, or ignored numerous warnings.

I won't get into specifics about anybody that was banned, but I trust Steve's decisions in any and all situations such as this.:king:

I was a bit curious myself :)

As far as the PM thing goes - that is so great and Steve does deserve every bit of funding we can possibly give! I am just wondering about this Paypal thing....Can't I just send a check or work something else out?

I really do want to help....I just don't do the CC thing - I'm still trying to clean up my college CC mess!

Wow. I just noticed this about RobFL. I knew he could be a little hard on people, but he must have really stepped over the line. Oh well, on with the show.:drevil:

You don't need a credit card for Paypal :) You set it up with your bank, and transfer funds directly from one to the other. It takes a little while to do- I have been working on setting mine up for about a week now.

I think what Erika meant is that it takes about a week for the complete transfer. It only takes about 10 mins or less to open your account; then it takes a while to actually transfer funds.

If I remember correctly when I opened mine a couple of years ago, they do a test transfer of a small amount of money into your bank account to see if all the account info is correct, you tell them if it worked, and then your account is complete with them. It just takes a little time to get the whole thing rolling.

First you give them your account information- that takes a couple of minutes. Then they make 2 deposits into your account- that takes a couple of business days. You call your bank and find out how much the deposits were. Then you go back to Paypal and enter the amounts. After that you are verified but you still have no money in your Paypal account. To do that takes a few more business days. So it is a lot of waiting- especially if you have a 3 day weekend...Columbus Day added some time for me.
 #%&@ bank holidays

Hi all--well I can't understand how many people could get kicked off of this site because the rules are much more liberal than the other big Disney boards, which is why I like it so much more here. On the other "big two" boards (I'm sure you know which ones I mean) they edit like every other post. I even got kicked off one of them because I was so upset at the constant editing. So an arguement ensued with one of the moderators there and I got kicked off. What is the point of having a public messageboard if people can't write reasonable things? I'm a nice person----I was a big poster on the other board then WHAM--I got banned. I don't care. I don't want to post somewhere that I am constantly monitored and edited, as I said, then what's the point?

You can say what you want here within reason! The reason these people were banned is cause they were relentless with their name calling and harrassment and even when they were warned they persisted. And Hello fellow Ohioian!

Hi I know Eastlake--I grew up in Parma which is pretty close to there.

I think the name calling and flaming is not right and people SHOULD be banned for that. But on the other sites they edit, delete, and repremand people for ridiculous things.

To me it seemed that anything that did not fit with their opinions (the moderators) would be edited. And as I said, then what is the point of even posting?

HI CORAJack!
Yes I know what you mean! I also post on intercot and one time I was have a horrible week! I was in a car accidant, the next day my sister was in a car accidant with her 2 children and then the day after that a good friend of mine was killed in a car accidant and I posted that I was having the week from "HELL" after I posted that I received a theatening e mail from one of intercots moderators to Edit out the word hell or risk having my thread deleted. Can you imagine that? for gods sake hell is in the bible and I can`t say the word Hell?

I think it's best not mention other sites by name. Just as Steve is able to run his forum the way he wants, others are able to run theirs the way they see fit. I don't want to see this thread turn into an all out forum bashing. I still think that it's best if you have problems with the way any forum is run that you take those problems up with the person running it. I'm not picking on anyone here, I just thought this could be going in the wrong direction. :)
