At a recent event, MTV News caught up with Robert Zemeckis and asked him what past franchise he would be interested in taking another stab at with advanced technology. Zemeckis revealed that he's been thinking about a ROGER RABBIT sequel. Only new information that Zemeckis revealed was that the idea is a new one, which hasn't surfaced before. With technical hurdles easier these days, now all the filmmaker needs to jump over in the mile-high legal issues surrounding a film that brings the iconic toon characters of both Disney and Warner Bros. together.

There is a video clip at the link.

I would be very happy if a new Roger Rabbit film was to come out, especially if it had the same feel as the previous movie. It's one of my all time favorites, so a sequel would definitely make my day. :D

Who Framed Roger Rabbit is a classic cartoon film noir. I would really like to see a good sequel come about as long as it uses the cartoon/live action approach as the original. Also, Bob Hoskins has to be back.

Question is....will he use 2D or 3D? 3D is actually easier to integrate into a live action film these days.

If Roger is 3D who is still interested?

Keep in mind, it'll be the story that makes or breaks the film, not the technology.
