Returned from Central Florida earlier in the week, a Dec 11-16 vacation -- much needed I say. Took a few photos of the Rock and Roller queue-less queue on Wednesday, Dec 16. It was my final ride of the day, of my trip, and was a little shocked at what to do. A few days earlier, this was not set up, and was told (like many of you have read) that this was a 2-3-day test.
I visited Disney solo so I have been riding Rock n Roller and other Disney, Universal and SeaWorld rides in their respective solo rider lines (if they offer one). So, I've been entering up the solo rider ramp, through the G Force Records lounge into the studio, then cutting left and down the far side wall until a cast member puts me in a row.
With this testing of the queue-less queue, I was a little off-kilter, per se. Told a cast member at the mainentrance that I was a single rider and she said to go right in and look for the single rider line close to the big guitar. All fine and dandy, but it was weird seeing the bullpen common area with many guests standing around in a roped off area with a deejay spinning quick snippets of theme tunes.
At the normal fastpass, single rider, standby entrances, and fastpass distribution, there was the Beatles Rock Band and other Rock Band consoles set up, as well as other Rock Band musical instruments for guests to play with before entering the line to get inside the G Force Records lobby.
From there I went through the single rider line up the ramp and inthe the records lobby. Instead of going up the single-rider incline into the studio, I was put with everyone else on the lower level in the Amerosmith studio. Once the doors open, made my way into the regular line. The single rider line was closed.
Basically put, it was VERY WEIRD and sparse and VERY QUIET. There were about 50 people inside the ride loading area. It was very controled. Still had a great ride on the coaster, but the guest load in line was very thin.
As you can see in these photos, there were several cast members in different costumes, not the Rock n Roller parking attendant costumes. There were a lot of cast members in yellow shirts.
