RnR coaster or ToT (advice)

Hello,

I'm going to MGM on Sunday (april 1). It's looking to be a VERY busy week, so to avoid crowds I already have my Fantasmic dinner reservation.

I have a question though. I will be at MGM right when the gates open. Obviously as most of us would, I'm heading straight for RnR/ToT. What do I do? Where do I go first? Is it best to get a fastpass for one of them first and then go ride the other? ....or can they both be done in little time first thing in the morning.

Thanks.

We always FP one, then ride the other. Usually ToT first, and then it's usually time for our FP's for RnRC. Have fun!

I'm willing to bet ToT will have less of a line. If you are at any of the parks when they open pretty much everything is walk on

Same here. We grab the Fast Pass for RnRC first, then ride ToT. If it's early enough, you may be able to get a second ride on ToT before your Fast Pass time is up. We did that last April during Easter week when it was insanely busy. We actually got on ToT three times before going over to RnRC

I'd FP ToT, get in Stand By for ToTm, ride it, then go to RnRC and jump in Stand By (line won't be too bad yet) and then get a FP to get back on RnRC and use the ToT FP. This way you get two rides on each!

We used this method this past New Year's eve and it worked. We rode both two times in an hours time! Very little wait, just preshow slowed us down.

Good luck. It will be packed this weekend!

Thanks all for the advice so far.

I will definitely get a fastpass for one of the two. Most of you said to get RnR FP and then go to ToT. Does RnR fill up faster? I was thinking of maybe getting the ToT FP first since you sort of pass it on the way to RnR.

Ride the coaster first, then use my FP at ToT

You can really do whatever you want, and at opening you shouldn't have a problem going on either in a short amount of time. But in my experience, we've never really needed FP's for ToT but have needed them for RnRC. Who knows though because the busiest times we've been have been Memorial Day weekend and Thanksgiving weekend

RnRC ALWAYS has a longer wait time than ToT (unless ToT has an elevator shaft or two broken), so def. get the FP for RnRC and then ride the ToT. In my experience during the summer, the ToT will often not break an hour wait time at its peak, while RnRC will routinely break 80 or 90 minutes. Of course, apparently by the time you visit, RnRC will have a Single Rider Line, so you may want to take advantage of that (you would literally walk on for the first hour of the day then).

When we went this past summer my dad and I got a FP for RnR, rode it in standby, went to ride ToT standby, then used our FP for RnR. Worked very nicely for us.

I would go to Rrnr, fastpass then ride it. Then I would go to ToT. Even though I doubt that the line for ToT would be long after you get off of the other one, its still better IMO to wait in line for ToT because you can get soaked into the whole theming and its just a much better ride. Rrnr all you see inline is the same people you pass over and over in those zigzags.
