Even there? They have so much space. I remember one being right next to the castle.

They used to have several, now they're down to two. They had one on the walkway between Liberty Square and Fantasyland right by the castle (it's no longer used), they had one in Adventureland next to the treehouse, which was moved to the entrance of Adventureland and was then discontinued, there was on in Tomorrowland next to Space Mountain where the cabana's once sat, but now the large seating area goes mostly unused, but it was out of the way, there's one by Big Thunder Mountain (I believe the old canoe dock) and it's mostly out of the way, and the other one is on the long walkway starting by Barnstormer and going behind the speedway (not sure why it's been left here and not back in the Tomorrowland section with the concrete seating that is ignored and unused and out of the way). So there's two left. Epcot has several (one before Nemo, one between Norway and China, not sure on the rest). Animal Kingdom has one by the new restrooms by Festival of the Lion King, which is another entrance to Pandora now so I don't know if it's still there or not (I think there's another one but I can't recall it). DHS used to have a couple but now I believe there's only one on the walkway by Echo Lake (near Gertie), it's mostly out of the way but I'm sure it bothers those who want to walk by the water.

They've cut back on a lot of them, just a few locations. I think one or two is fine as long as they're out of the way.

Sorry for going a bit off-topic about this but I wanted to explain/answer.

The Mark Twain and Columbia have switched places.

Looks like Fantasmic will begin soon. Lots of activity on the island in broad daylight and the giant lighting thing was up all day.

See it down there blocking my views of The Haunted Mansion?

Nice picture of dusk at Disneyland - my absolute favorite time in the park! If only there was a way to make that last all day long. I'd pay top dollar for it!

Oh, I took the "new" Big Thunder Trail. The only reason I was over there was because The Haunted Mansion shut down and I ran to the Snow White ride out of desperation. I liked the Vasquez Rocks, but the area around the tunnel with the jumping fish is barren compared to how it used to look. It's mostly really bad show if you look in that direction, but you can also see what appears to be a balancing rock similar to the ones from Nature's Wonderland, which will no doubt threaten the DLRR.

Snow White also happens to be my preferred Haunted Mansion understudy.

I'm curious whether they'll finish and open those areas all the way up to the Star Wars tunnels soon, or rather keep them closed off. I hope that temporary-looking chain link fence indicates they'll complete construction soon.

So with the bengal BBQ and crowd flow work being absolutely rushed to be done by June 30 could July 1 be a tentative start date for Fantasmic?

Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks so. It would be great if that area will get some kind of elaborate refresh before SW Land opens.

That's the area I was talking about earlier up thread when someone said you could spot the Columbia. It's not finished, there is more foliage coming. They are still working on the RoA show scene back there too.

Here's the Big Thunder Trail view standing on the bridge over the pond, looking north-northwest. Definitely still major construction going on back there, lots more to do and lots more trees to be added. It's nowhere near done. These photos were taken two days ago.

And the same area but from a wider angle, just before you get to the bridge and the pond.

That tunnel looks dumb and the water looks gross. Sorry. Also some of the vegetation appears to be dead or dying.

They continue to do work for Fantasmic in broad daylight with a couple dozen Marlboro men riding around in the Tom Sawyer boats, playing musical docks with the Columbia and Mark Twain, making the water get misty and refusing to lower the giant lighting contraption that blocks my treehouse views of...hey, what's that in the background?

Oh, Haunted Mansion. Gotta go!

Your old pal Justin was thinking of you all today. Well, Haunted Mansion was really packing them in and I was in between Fastpass return times, so I stopped by the trail again. Anyway, here's the tunnel with new water that looks like the seawater filling up the First Class Reception Area in Titanic:

Here's the great big rock:

It would be great if they added some more props or wildlife in that area. Are the fish still jumping?

also are the live turtles still in the pond or were they relocated for safety during construction?
