From MiceChat:

The refurbishment of Tom Sawyer Island is nearly complete and the attraction appears ready to reopen any day now, according to cast members who recently toured the island. Workmen are down to touching up the public areas, performing Fantasmic!-related electrical work off stage, and adding more landscaping island-wide.

Let's hope it takes them 15 days to complete.

I wonder how much of the star wars queue will stretch into this area. Maybe they were smart and gave the rides four hour queues like Avatar land got.

Don't blame the smokers. Blame Disney.

Is there a legitimate business case for why Disney still allows smoking in the parks? Here in San Francisco smoking in city owned public spaces, including parks, is prohibited. It's so strange to me that Disney Parks allows guests to smoke, even in designated areas, in 2017.

Smokers will smoke regardless, so it makes sense to have designated smoking sections rather than having them light up in line for "it's a small world". It's something that would be so difficult to control, as the (ugh) vaping people have demonstrated. They do it everywhere.

I just got a migraine from rolling my eyes
Same, I couldn't make it all the way through that video. Did you know that "Thingamavlogs" kid had his own red carpet meet & greet for himself at one of the recent Dapper Day Expos? There's a whole weird family of young Disneyland social media narcissists who — in the field of inspiring migraines from rolling one's eyes — give mommy bloggers a run for their money. Because people will do it anyway. And many people smoke. At WDW the smoking areas are always full of people. It helps many at the MK have been done away, leaving just two, but they put them in the wrong spot, right in walkways, etc.
