Richard Petty Driving Experience- Adding Exotic Cars?

You can ride-along in Indy cars already there ;)

As for the Ariel Atom and Bugatti, I agree, however those most likely won't be offered, and I still love the 458

Wow...I didn't know they added the Indy cars! I'd like to see more of an AutoCross style track for the Indy's though.

Can you IMAGINE how often the mechanics would be rebuilding the transmissions & replacing the clutchs?

What - you thought thought a Ferrari was an automatic? Not one that I would TOUCH. Let's see what a bunch of tourists can do to the finest machines on earth :).

Actually the 458 is paddle shift...and I'm pretty sure its got some safeguards to prevent shifting issues

Well the atoms are like big go carts, and they don't cost that much when compared to what they could offer.

Re:

In February, I went to a track experience in Las Vegas that offers very nice exotic cars... They had no less than 3 Ferrari 458! And tons of other cars: Lamborginis, Audi R8, Nissan Skyline GTR, Aston Martin, etc. They sent me a newsletter saying they will get the new Aventador and the McLaren (this one I can't wait!!!!) later on this year. I know that the Richard Petty Driving Experience is in Vegas as well: maybe there is a connexion behind all of this? I hope they do it at WDW, but I don't see how they can do a good course like they have in Vegas... It was one of the best days of my life! (OK, I am a car enthusiast)

The track would need a major update though. Taking any exotic on an oval might as well come with a pillow and blanket. They just aren't set up or meant to drive in circles.

As I mentioned in my original post, the rumor states that they are going to make a road-course layout on the infield.

I've never been to the track so I don't know how feasible it is, just reporting what the DISBoards podcast mentioned

In that case I might as well just add them to my checking account cause Im not leaving.

Not really that feasible. The only area inside the infield would be the SE corner, and with that part they might be able to get 8 acres of total area including any garages and other race support areas. That area isn't big enough for a quarter mile straight.

I think the old stol, and the area around it, would be a nice setting for a road course for exotics. And disney could sell dvc units on one side of the course, so there could be some cross selling and promotion.

A Road course has nothing to do with a quarter mile straight....this isn't drag racing we're talking about

You need some kind of straight section for drivers to get a feel of the power of the car, less than a quarter mile is not enough room to either get up to speed or decrease speed.

Oh man, would love this. Been to the track with several different cars but nothing like the exotics they would potentially have there. Hope this becomes a reality.

There's some more information about the exotic car driving experience coming to Orlando January 2012 http://www.projectexotic.com

That's all the info I have right now, but am hoping they'll post more on this website to let us know the details!

I can't wait to do this!!!

Translates as "I will" since you have posted the same on every forum going and all have been one single post. I am sure you can't wait to do it since you work for them.

I know i didn't have an "exotic" but this thread occasionally updating makes me wish I still had my STi. It was so fun taking it to track days and getting into some fun turns. Also hitting the loud pedal on the street from time to time to put a dumb look on peoples faces when my 4 door sedan left their new "sports cars" behind. Ugh growing up is really lame.
