Resort TV - GONE!!

I can't answer for everyone else, but we usually turn the TV on while getting ready in the morning or just before going to bed at night, other than that... notta. But when we have the TV on at Disney it's either the Resort Channel or to get the latest forecast.

Ditto!

I was at WDW over Christmas and took my VCR. I planned to record resort TV. The bad news is it is gone. No more "Zip-a-de-do-da, Tip for Today." It has been replaced by a really boring: "Top 7 things at WDW" It runs about 15 minutes and is not much more than a commercial for Mission Space. The still have the Spanish version of Resort TV but the English versions are nowhere to be found.

Is the Animal Kingdom commercial still on? "NAH-TAH-ZU!!!" ;)

She's great, and has the BEST JOB!

I remember a thread about this at least a month ago. I was so upset since I was going in a few weeks, and I wrote to the company to complain about getting rip of the tip for today.
When I went there, I did miss the tip, but I really didn't mind the new loop. I actually kind of enjoyed it:lookaroun

I apologize in advance for going off-topic

I just went the weekend before last (12/19-12/21) and my cousin's boyfriend had on channel 96 which was a channel where they play old cartoons and I was wondering how long has that been there?? I have never seen it but now I am glad I know because I got to see old cartoons I love, especially Donald's "Autograph Hound"...super cool! Definitely better than Resort TV seeing as how we don't get to see old cartoons on the Disney Channel anymore except sometimes on House of Mouse.

Disney TV

I have a copy of the Zip a Dee Do Dah Tip For Today tv thing...the entire loop. You can find it on the Disney Central IRC channel. I believe there is a thread explaining how to use it if you can find it.

IT'S A SAD DAY WHEN YOU HEAR THERE IS NO MORE WDW NETWORK!!

like a recent post said it got me to feel at home again :(
i truly wish why they got rid of it :veryconfu
but i can honestly say i hope its not half as bad as you say it can't be as bad as the station that only plays disney commericals nor the DVC resort commerical in all DVC resorts i would like to say once you are in a DVC villa wouldn't the right assumtion (sorry for spelling) be you are already a DVC member why the commericals there:snore: boring anyways i hope like all things something is done well that is along with ENOUGH COMPLANING!!! from all of us Disney Fans.

Since Oct I have been watching the Spanish version everytime I go down. I have written Disney after each trip on it and have not yet heard from them. I only hope they don't take away the Spanish version.

LOL! I actually did this too. I didn't understand a single word they said but it was still better than the other show.

Just got back from WDW.

Having read before departing that the Zip A Dee... Resort TV had been replaced, I was rather disappointed, but decided to reserve judgement until I had seen its replacement.

Well, I can now say that its replacement is complete pants!! That Krissa is sooo completely annoying . Even though I couldn't understand a word of it, I found myself watching the Spanish channel that is still playing the old Zip A Dee...Resort TV. Not only could you hear Zip A Dee etc, but you could also watch the delights of Disneyworld without having to see some immature annoying bimbo woman going "yeeeeeee" every couple of seconds.

Also, in response to someone elses post, Channel 96 rules! I loved the cartoons on there.

Happy Holidays to one and all. Hey, I would have said it sooner, but I've been kinda busy going to MVMCP, Candlelight Processional, Mickey's Philarmagic, Mission Space, etc etc etc.

:xmas:

I guess I'll have to learn Spanish before they decide to take it away and replace it with Thalia or something.

Tip of the Day was also gone when we went the first two weeks of October. Of course no one believed the more recent returnees of WDW. I think it's terrible! The first thing we do when we go in the room is turn that on so we can hear it while we unpack.

Unpack? I drop everything and head to the parks ASAP because I can't wait. If I get there at night I still explore the property. Unpack later. :D
