I remember when the rooms were cleaned daily and the sheets were changed daily --then in the name of save the planet they quit the daily sheet change (room prices never went down) ---seems another case of Disney increasing the bottom line.

One item that rarely gets changed with thousands of guests sleeping on it and body oils, dirt, and who knows what are absorbed on it are the blankets and comforters in the hotel room. I sleep just with the clean sheets. If anyone thinks they are clean, they are kidding themselves.
That’s why those items and the bed runners that replaced them were removed from resort rooms long ago. Now everything is changed between guests except the pillows and mattress

Blankets changed at checkout? That is not correct. If you think so you are mistaken.

Extra blankets in the closets are in hermetically sealed bags. Once a guest breaks the seal, the blanket is laundered and sanitized.

Thin bed blankets are currently covered by a top and bottom sheet. The entire bed is stripped and laundered between guests.

When was you last WDW resort stay?

A few years back ( Boardwalk ) and the thin bed blankets between the sheets were not changed. I could tell from the smell and stains.

That's your opinion I base mine on my experience.
And people are telling you that bedding and policies have changed. Your experience was true at one time, it no longer represents reality.

Obviously there is a still a chance that a housekeeper may fail to follow proper procedure. However that is not policy and not common. And if you understood the process and procedure for turning over a room you would know how unlikely that is now. You might be given a used fork at a restaurant too but I don’t think you would claim that forks aren’t washed between customers.

The thin, lightweight Sobel blankets that Disney has been using for quite some time are as easy to strip and launder as the sheets. They are pulled off with the sheets in a bundle to be taken to the laundry. I don't know why a housekeeper would pull off the upper and lower sheet that surrounded the used blanket that belonged to your room's previous occupant and then put that filthy blanket back between fresh sheets for you to use, but I suppose a housekeeper could make extra work for him/herself by doing it that way.
