Reputation Points Question

First, Thank-you Erika :) for the reputation point and comment you gave me for the avatars I created.

How do you give someone reputation points and how do you read the comments others have given you. It says I have 15 which I never knew about. I would love to do this for others, but I don't know how to do it.

Thanks,
Mike

Click on the scale on the top of a person's post. A window will pop up, allowing you to either add points to a persons reputation or bring their points down, along with a box for putting comments in.

Thank-you. I never noticed that. Is there a way to read comments do you know?

Thanks again,
Mike

To check on comments others have given you click on User CP and then scroll down to the bottom of your subscribed threads. To give reputation points, click on the scales at the bottom (lower left) of the users name.

What I want to know is how you knew Erika was the one to give you the reputation points  (Unless you got a reputation point on a thread with only one reply)

I made a comment with it

It's HarmonioUS, NOT HarmoniYOU.
Oh... and whatever you do... dont disagree with anyone or anything.. or debate about how you think or feel about anything... rides, ideas, opinions.. etc ... that tends to scare people and they take it all personal... and THEN they tend to nail you with negatives. :)

Pffft... but at this point I could care less... People know who I really am around the forum... I am not gonna let some litte green box push me to walking on egg shells around this place.

I have noticed that too...if you disagree with another's post (particularly newer users who only have the ability to add or remove one point) they give out bad reps. That's not exactly what the system is for, and would only make sense if they gave positive rep point every time they agree with you ;)

Ain't it all the truth. You spend all day (and I mean all day, lol) helping people, giving tips, expressing thoughts on rides, and then you say one small thing about a public person and wham-mo here come the negatives flying at me like frisbees...

Thanks for helping me understand this. If someone gives someone a negative because they don't agree, that is just stupid. I guess, everyone has the right to one man's(or woman's) opinion in those people's minds. Sounds like abuse of the system or people just being mean.

When someone give's you a point and comment, if it is green it is positive. What color do they give when it is negative?

red--and I really dislike people giving negative feedback with no comment. If you are going to mark a person down, they deserve to know why.

I agree with you 110% Kyle!!! :sohappy: Someone left me a negative feedback once with no comment and another person left me negative feedback because my font was too small (I didnt know this because on my screen it showed larger)!! Some people just dont know how to use PM's I guess!

I'm pretty sure you are neutral until someone leaves you feedback. And if I had to take a 2nd guess I'd say if your good and bad cancel each other out maybe you are neutral :)

(who knew red + green = grey)

Ahhhhh, I gotcha. So the person is neutral, not the actual feedback. I must have taken my stupid pills this morning instead of my vitamins.

Thank you!

right...and when you get multiple feedback on the same post, it can average out to neutral...somehow...I don't really understand it, but I had a gray dot in my feedback one time (the list of feedbacks in my control panel).
