Replacement for Tomorrowland Speedway?

Will the exterior of Space Mountain be changed and/or affected in any way by this, or completely separate?
I had a nightmare vision of the coaster somehow wrapping around or being integrated into that iconic
structure . . . ack.

According to that article, the ride is CONFIRMED.

Which I thought was a little odd for them to do prior to official word from Disney. They are a movie/TV/comic news site but have bled into parks with stories about Guardians ride and Avatar.

Sure, but it's intended to be Haunted Mansion. We have Haunted Mansion.

Perhaps it just won't come to FL. Not everything needs to be cloned.

At least the LightCycles add something the park doesn't have with an aesthetic that will actually add to Tomorrowland. And it doesn't have cartoon characters!

Exactly, Mystic Manor does not fit into the Orlando parks. It is not coming to Orlando. Stop trying to make this a thing.

With Disney's recent history of remaking their old classic films, anything is possible.

I don't buy the logic that Mystic Manor wouldn't fit because we already have Haunted Mansion. Yes, Mystic Manor was built instead of Haunted Mansion but I think it's a different enough ride that it would fit fine in Magic Kingdom. By this logic the Tron ride doesn't fit in MK either since it's Shanghai's Space Mountain.

I just wonder if we had gotten new and improved Space Mountain 8 years ago if we would be getting Tron now. As it stands we get a modern coaster while keeping a classic.

I agree its not coming here but that is a myopic view. Mystic manor would fit incredibly well at animal kingdom, somewhere near Asia.
I don't think clones are a bad thing but only when they're top tier attractions.

The Tron Coaster and Space Mountain have almost no similarities what so ever. Mystic Manor is what happens when you take the Haunted Mansion and replace the ghosts with enchanted inanimate objects.

I think MK needs more rides that appeal to teens/adults, so this should be a good addition. I'd obviously prefer a complete refresh of Space Mountain for the 50th, but we've beaten that dead horse so many times.

I think I had a piece of that dead horse for dinner last night.

For the last time Mystic Manor does not fit the theme and message of Animal Kingdom in any way without changing the ride entirely.
