It’s clearly not done yet so no need to jump to conclusions
This. Nothing wrong with feeling disappointed if they don’t bother to blend the show building with its surroundings, but I think we need to wait ‘til they’ve finished construction before complaining 🤣
They showbuilding is pre-finished insulated metal panels. Just like over at Sausalito, they are the finished exterior wall product and are not intended to be painted or have stuff built onto them. Anything added would be after the fact because they realized they screwed up.

Unless any added material is built onto the Moroccan facade itself, not the Rat building. Then the Rat building will be easier to blend in from the lagoon side with additional plants.

It would still be an after the fact addition. You can’t just place something of that size on a roof.

You say thankfully they aren't moving the tower. Have they found other ways to address the sightlines? I don't think the trees you are talking about would impact the view of the tower from the new courtyard.
The courtyard sight lines should be obscured using structures, decor and dressing. The view from the skyliner was a problem they thought was worth living with.

The trees I mentioned will aid sightlines from the IG and associated walkway.

That options been dropped thankfully.

There will also be a replacement wall of trees returning behind the flower mural to mask the back of the new small eatery and to some extent the Rat Courtyard from the IG area.
I’m at WDW this week and there are fresh plantings behind the floral.
