I beg to differ. It was our favorite attraction at DLP!Actually the Ratatouille rise isn't that amazing. Cute, screeny, but not worth riding over and over.

These photos are riveting. It is beaming with excitement
Looking at the front half of that expansion pad, there definitely could be room for a new pavilion, no?
Even if they did a little courtyard, a restaurant or a couple tiny shops plus a museum I'd be happy.

Because there’s precious little green, uncluttered space left in Showcase? There's no reason why the front half of all the empty pads -- while they're empty -- can't be used for the festival booths with covered outdoor seating. I'm tired of eating on a garbage can.
Amen to that.Because there’s precious little green, uncluttered space left in Showcase?

We could always see if they float. There'd still be greenery behind each mini-courtyard. Could also keep a little green buffer / hedge / median between the walkway and the mini-courtyard. The mini-courtyard could even keep tall trees for shade.
And it'll take all the booths and tables and chairs out of the walkways. I know how much you hate the booths in the walkways. And absent blowing them up...
I'd rather they build something permanent but that's a good idea. For me the food from the festival booths have been meant to eat while walking around. There's no reason why the front half of all the empty pads -- while they're empty -- can't be used for the festival booths with covered outdoor seating. I hope they don’t.
