That blog post is too close to implying that the attraction will be built within a year, and this permit is far more narrow in its scope. There will be no mischief within a year.

Yeah, especially since they just left the default one year expiration which generally means it will take well less then a year to do the permitted work. There will eventually be more permits for this project.

I'm reaching for an application for the swing thing and a ride for brazil. Seeing how IP-centric Disney has become, I would think (but not hope) that they'd put an IP ride in brazil. Unfortunately, I really can't think of any IP that takes place in brazil.

All kidding aside about "Brazilian guests would spend their time at a Brazil pavilion" (I don't think any guest in general spends more time at their home country pavilion necessarily), one way they could make a Brazil pavilion a drawn for many Brazilians would be to have a José M&G -- from what I gather, he is very popular in that country and would probably get some significant lines.

Rio is a Pixar film based mostly in Brasil. Blu would make a cute mascot for a ride, show, or other attraction. Or... build a replica of Sugar Loaf Mtn and have a gondola ride up to the top...

Rio isn't a Pixar film. It's made by a company owned by 20th Century Fox.

Looking at the concept art again, you can see that not only has the Eiffel tower been moved, but shows more of the lower structure than currently exists. Could be simple artistic license, but perhaps not. Would love to see a proper model of this addition.
