They're really going to cut back on festival weeks? I'm honestly shocked to hear that, maybe I missed a post somewhere. Wow...
They’ve grown so much that the profit margin (even for F&W) has fallen. Less is more when it comes to festivals, but they’ve been using festivals to feed us. More dining will be necessary elsewhere when there are fewer temporary kiosks. Thus the rapid increase in Epcot dining of late.

I am not going to hold my breath thinking they will cut back on the number of festivals. They won't because they make too much money on the festivals. I love them and make a trip to WDW for each of them.
Actually they make less and less per week. They won’t remove the festivals altogether, but perhaps 250 festival days per year is too much?

Interesting, thanks for that. Something I've said for a while - By extending special events, like festivals, they make them less special. Cut them back and make them something to look forward to again instead of having it be "365 days of various Epcot festivals". (Edit: I know it's not 365 days of festivals, it just feels like it sometimes :) )

While I'm also skeptical, I can see them doing it if they realized they went over the tipping point and they're making lesser returns on more dates.

My thought was that this little area was meant to be more of a taste of the suburbs than Paris itself.

My thought is that you might not want a really tall building right next to, or perhaps under, your new aerial hot boxes of death.... I mean Skyliner

Do we have any confirmation that the creperie will be a new build? To my knowledge, it hasn't appeared on permits, which would seem like a pre-requisite. Is it possible that they are simply re-theming and moving the entrance to an existing restaurant so that it is accessed from the new courtyard? If we grant that concept art is not meant to be true-to-life and evolves over time, there's a facade to the left of #8 in the photo above that could maybe have been tweaked to look like the creperie. I'm not sure of the internal layout of the existing pavilion and what exactly is back there.
The existing facilities are significantly taller than what is shown in the art. The lack of permits is not necessarily surprising as Disney often announces projects early in the design phase.

Interestingly, the HBoD will be used to cook the crepes. Batter gets poured at CBR, flipped at Riviera, done at Epcot. That’s actually why they had to build Riviera, a resort that is literally a flipping joke.

Its a good thing crepes are thin, they can just slide them out the vents and they fall directly on your plate in line.

My guess is they think they won’t need as many festival days to push up attendance with all the new rides coming online. Profit margins may be getting slimmer, but it’s still profit. Cutting them back altogether saves a ton if they can also drive up attendance with Rat, GOTG, and SWL. They won’t cut them to better the guest experience. They’ll cut them to save money and cash in elsewhere. Just my opinion.

I won't make any of these poor forum-goers click anymore than they have to. Telling anyone to search in other threads is truly heartless. I have made sacrifices to bring the information from the other thread, at great cost to my physical and mental well-being.

The location as discussed in the previous thread is indeed under the Skyliner cables. The building will be quite hidden from the view from above, nor should it be really visible from the IG. It appears to be a more recent addition and is not part of the Rat project itself (indeed, final details are yet to be finalised)

I would 'Like' that post, but it's more clicks than I could handle.
