An E-ticket by 2025 that is not-yet-announced is likely. Obviously the current pace can’t be maintained, but annual additions with significant projects every 2-3 years is the plan. As it used to be and always should be.
This. An E-Ticket opening every year isn’t feasible for eternity, but with 4 parks, there should always be something new.

Hopefully they’ll take advantage of the added capacity to refresh some of the older E-Tickets. I can live without a new ride in Magic Kingdom for a bit if Big Thunder and Space Mountain are looking and feeling brand new.

It doesn’t even have to be an E ticket a year. I would be perfectly happy with some new Cs and Ds in the mix.

I would argue an E-ticket in 1 of the 4 parks every year should honestly be the standard. My seasonal hometown park (Cedar point) has put an "E" ticket in 3 of the past 6 years. Disney should be doing this FOR EACH PARK.
Disney Es now cost $200 million or more, however. Where should ticket prices land?

And Cedar Points last 3 E tickets were all around $30 million. Cedar point 2017 attendance (according to TEA report)= 3,604,000 with a gate ticket price of $67 for $241,468,000 in ticket prices. Magic Kingdom alone had an attendance of 20,450,000 with ~$80 gate price (depending on season, number of days bought, ect) for a total of $1,636,000,000. In ticket sales, Magic Kingdom makes roughly 6.75 times more than Cedar point in ticket sales. Thus each $30 million E ticket from CP is the equivalent of a $203 million E ticket for MK (3 over the course of 6 years)... looks like the prices are right about where they should be for this to happen.

Note: I don't think Ticket price is a great indicator of revenue generated by each park because:
  • MK probably has a higher operating cost
  • MK probably has much higher average guest spending (merchandise and food)
  • MK has 4083 hotels connected by monorail or boat, compared to CPs less than 2,500
  • Rooms at the MK resorts are much more expensive than CPs
Money and Ticket Prices are not the issues for adding an E ticket every 2-3 years in each park.

Tell that to BTM.

What’s 17 million in 1980 adjusted for today? Not 400.
Since you asked...

Still more expensive than a $30 million plain Jane coaster.

You just changed what you said to one E should open in each park every year to now every 2-3 which everybody agrees with. So why the comparison to Cedar point ? The parks are the complete opposites of each other.
