News Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

Insiders here are saying the EPCOT plan is multi-year and that there is more potentially coming than what was announced but if there are new rides/pavilions in those plans I doubt they will be open for WDWs 50th.
But perhaps for Epcot's 40th.

I wonder what the timeframe is for UK's theoretically new ride. Since it sounds like it is smaller scale, I hope it might open in the same ~2020 timeframe Ratatouille even if announcement/building starts later.

So... they're moving or just covering that power substation?

Can you spill what the colors mean? And if you can't, can you tell me how high to model those sections on Google Earth Pro (ground level, kiosk height, etc...)?

Thanks for all your info!
No exact height info yet, but pink is pathway, brown covered pathway, purple stroller parking and there may be a little fountain in the plaza shown in blue.

Sounds good to me. A riverside street leading to a (fake) store-lined arcade that opens up to a courtyard with the ride entrance.

Do we dare hope the covered area is remotely as elaborate as the DLP arcades? And I imagine we'll see new restrooms back there? It's quite a hike to nearest set otherwise.

I am of the opinion that each pavilion needs a major attraction -- i.e. something beyond food/merch/streetmosphere. So, I'm cool with Canada, China and America as is (and France, actually, but the ride is a good addition). If UK gets a ride, check that off. That leaves Germany, Italy, Japan and Morocco (and maybe Brazil?) needing stuff. The train garden* for Germany is kinda iffy, but I'd take it if the others all got stuff. I'd even be fine with at least a high quality walk through -- Italy was proposed to get a Roman Ruins one at one point -- as long as it is something that's a legit "attraction".

But it's ridiculous that basically half the pavilions don't have even a ride or a show at this point, after all these years.

*=Germany might be losing the train garden as is, if Brazil takes over that space as is rumored.

Morocco does have genuine art, artefacts and craftsmanship to admire. Have you been inside?

I guess it depends on your definition of attraction. Yes, some extra additions, as in rides, would be great, but I still love WS.

I laugh each time I visit Italy at the mirror image of St Mark's Square, I love looking at the differences through the 4 centuries of buildings in the UK, the tranquility of Japan's gardens (and Canada's come to that), the replicas of real architecture of Norway, Canada, Italy. If they add attractions I really hope we don't lose any of this.

Can always dream I guess. The arcades at DLP are wonderful. The fact they were lined with working gas lamps genuinely impressed me and my traveling companion on our recent visit, and they're just a nice spot to sit and soak in so many details. A real highlight of that park.
They're stunning. I love the art in the east arcade. And when we found the Ellis island diorama it was amazing.
