Anyone ever think of making a ride (most lfittingly a dark ride) of the the 80's Jim Henson movie The Dark Crystal? I loved that movie when I was a kid and always though it should be somewhere in the parks. What are your thoughts?

I'm more of a Labyrinth film myself. I would love to have a Jim Henson/George Lucas land that focuses on these types of film.

Not gonna happen unless Disney obtain the rights to the characters..Columbia/Tri-star owns them Including The Fraggles...Disney only owns The Muppet characters..It's really strange as to who owns what of Jim Henson Productions. Even tho Disney helped produce Bear In the big Blue house they were allowed to be used at DHS..Yet if they used Sesame Street characters they would need to get permission from not only Henson but CTW..And besides Sesame Street is going to Busch Gardens Tampa anyways..

I haven't thought about that film in years...thanks for dredging up that memory! :)

Not sure how it would do as an attraction though...but it still was a very well made film.

Sesame Street has it's very own park as well, on the east coast...somewheres around NYC I believe.

And yes, the Busch Gardens parks are getting Sesame Street themed areas. BGE's opened this year.

It's my favorite movie of all time.
I once had a dream about a Jim Henson Theme park, and when I awoke, I scribbled down all these great ideas for Henson related attractions. Including a Fraggle Rock doozer coaster, a Farscape simulator ride, a Muppet Movie dark ride, a multi level walk through Labyrinth, and of course a Dark Crystal ride. Fleeing from Garthum and Skeksis would be a great thrill ride. Never gonna happen at Disney though.
