This is by far the best of the Vacation planning DVD's..
I own 2 of the 05 version and the Update with 06 with Lukes update on Everest.

It's so funny that you bring this DVD up, because it was my obsession. It was how I presented the parks to hundreds of people. It was an amazing piece of work and the production was amazing. It influenced the why I edit film to this day! The actors were also phenomenal, and - as well as the entire thing - represented WDW in a cool, contemporary, I-want-to-go-there, fashion, and also keeping to true to the 'magic'... when necessary.

Everything since that DVD, they've just way over done it with the little five-year-old boy sitting on a cloud saying, 'I like da' din-ah-sawers!' Then the little six-year-old girl saying, 'Some day I'm gonna be a princess!' [Que Tinkerbell and the chimes]. Too much of anything, is not a good thing.

Anyway, I just know from personal experience, by showcasing Disney to people through this DVD, it made the parks look awesome, cool, and fun, with just the right touch of magic. Not one person didn't become interested while watching this DVD.

Bring back Dave!

This was my favorite planning DVD of the last few years as well. I believe there have been two major videos since -- neither of which have been as fun to watch for me. The newer ones have been a little too reverent and self-important for my tastes.

I definitely prefer seeing hosts experience the parks. You could tell they were having a great time.

I would love to see a new revision featuring the same cast -- Erin, Dave, Stacey, and even Luke. Sure, Erin Cahill has moved on to be an actress with some credentials, but I doubt she'd be above coming back to do a planning DVD again.

If not these guys, some equally funny people presenting the parks the same way would be okay by me too.

OMG we love Erin!!! That's our favorite planning video. I was so upset when we loaned it out and it came back and the cover had been used as a puppy chew toy. :( Imagine my delight when I was cleaning out the spare bedroom and found another, pristine, copy! Yay! :sohappy: Good things come to those who hoard!

Best planning DVD yet!

I know this DVD like the back of my hand. It was the year we took our honeymoon so, needless to say, it has been watched A LOT.

The only thing that got on my nerves was how much they used "amazing."

This DVD has to be my favorite out of all of the vacation planning DVDs. It funny and taught you about the parks at the same time. I really don't even bother watching the new DVDs. I mean I'll watch them once then go right back to the 2005 DVD before my trip, even got it on my iPod.

I agree, but it was comical, to say the least... RIGHTEOUS! :ROFLOL:

Agreed. Luke's performance was so over-the-top and obnoxious, it's hilarious. We still quote him. My personal favorite is his discussion on the merits of Everest:

"And it's in Asia, which is SWEET!!"

 I mean, Asia is cool and all, but really?

I for one enjoy seeing at least 2 out of the four hosts occasionally pop up on TV..
Dave Did a Dish Network commercial and Low & Behold he's now buddies with a couch!

It is my favorite of the planning videos. It is fun and entertaining along with making you feel excited about a future trip to WDW. I still watch that one over any of the others. The four actors look like they are having a great time showing off all WDW has to offer. Dave is my favorite but I like them all.
