Remember Mickey's Birthday Land?? :)

I remember that the only way to get to Mickey's Birthday Land was the train. Well, not really, but it was so far out of the way to Fantasyland, and the walkway to Tomorrowland wasn't built yet, that the easiest way to get there was the train. "We're Rolling, We're Rolling on the Express.... We're rolling on the Mickey's Birthday Land Express"

I have video of it, but it's back in Chicago. I can still sing the whole song, and of course, that is where we got the recorded narration on the train that still haunts the woods with Pocohantos to this day... Before the Birthday Land express, it was the live narration of the conductor.

On the names, the temporary land opened as Micke'y Birthday Land, then turned into a little more permenant area, with the walkway built to the Tomorrowland/ToonTown train station, to Mickey's Starland. When ToonTown opened in Disneyland, the name and concept was changed to Duckburg, USA, where all the Duck-Tales folks would hang out. With the popularity of ToonTown in DL, the name and concept was changed to the permenant land that we all know today as Mcikey's ToonTown Fair, where if you go through Mickey's house and past his garden, you will end up with a chance to take a photo with the head Judge of the fair, Mickey himself.

I remember Minnie Moo! Whatever happened to her? Did she just die or something?

Unfortunetly, Minnie Moo passed away a few months back. There was a memorial article about her legacy in the Eyes & Ears paper.

Yeah Kev, you're right ... it was for Mickey's 60th Birthday... all the celebrations begin to blend together after awhile...

...I'll soon be getting a video capture card and I'll put a few short clips together of the parties that were held in the Tent....I seem to recall watching a show in the theater and then moving to another area that had a birthday cake...

if you can believe it, she was born with it. I guess some farmer sold her for a few pretty pennies, all because of her mark!

Jeez I remember the Birthdayland to well!! It was one of my favorite places, the one thing I can remember was the show when Mickey's cake burned or something and came out of the oven. When they changed the show I remember being sooo depressed because of it. Ohhh and also those little minature buildings that were just my size...ahhhhhh those were the days!!

We have pictures and videos of me and my cousins when we were 5, 4, and 2 looking in those windows. They were exactly our size. Now we're 18, 17, and 15 and I doubt if they were still around, they'd still be our size!
