..........Your at Disney. Have a beer.

I was at the parks Weds and Thurs and had a blast. But some people flipping out over the smallest, stupidest things.

One woman started SCREAMING that she had been waiting to get on Space Mountain for over 15 minutes. 15 minutes. You read it right, she even said 15 minutes as she stormed back through the line. A second woman found it to be "outrageous" that she had to watch "This BS video again" The one before you get on Dinosaur. Relax, its only loveable MILF Mrs. Huxtable, how can you get angry at her? She saved Theo from a bald head for christs sake. Or the guy who was going all crazy because his kid dropped a plastic sword underneath the tracks at the Space Mountain unloading area. How can you have a good time if such petty things get you down, man?

And on a sidenote, in the shops on Main Street, I saw a woman hand her child a big sucker and tell her to eat it in the store, so that they wouldnt have to pay for it. Disturbing to say the least.

Anyway, just a quick semi-rant. I find it amazing how people react when they can't have things exactly as they want them, and others who think they are above everyone else. Other than that, the trips been just ducky, jump on in.

Although the alcohol thing won't work at MK :D

Yeah, some people are just dumb like that when it comes to complaining. They obviously don't know what it's like in the REALLY busy seasons.

You tend to forget that the Contemporary is only a short 10 minute walk away. The bar is on the 4th floor :sohappy:

You want people freaking out...here's a story for you.

I had a friend who was a College Program Character greeter. A few months ago I was working in Town Square (The Circle area right in front of the park) with him, he was greeting with Rafiki. As Rafiki's time with the guests grew shorter, my friend started saying "Rafiki has to go inside to check on Simba in 5 minutes" and then repeated it again when there was 3 minutes left. When it came down to the last family, a man and his son were still standing there, waiting to see Rafiki. My friend kept saying, "This is Rafiki's last family" and repeating it despite the fact that this man wouldn't leave. Actually, the man just ignored him. Finally Rafiki finished with the last family and this man got up in my friend's face. He was like "Where is he going?" and my friend just replied "Sir I gave a warning as to when Rafiki was going to be going in" and this guy of course gave the typical answer, "My son has been waiting the whole vacation to see him" Anyway, as my friend was taking Rafiki in, the guy got up in his face and was like "YOU ARE AN IDIOT! YOU SIR ARE AN IDIOT!" and kept repeating it right in his face.

Ya know...some people really just boggle my mind. :brick:

WDWKat, I saw some of that in MGM with one of the guys from Monsters INC also. Its amazing what a good, relaxing vacation can do for some people. Margaritas, anyone?

You know, I never thought of that. That should come in handy when I am at the MK in Oct with my mother-in-law.

Just kidding, she is a good old bird. In fact she has to be because she loves Disney.

Margarita is fine to enjoy Illuminations with, but the midday thirst is only sated by a fine pint o' Guinness.

Cheers!

You've been hanging around with Pluto way to long......

And they are on the bar by the pool, strawberry is in the left three blenders.

And yes, I saw that with my own eyes. The kid looked like a hallmark card with the sucker, then I heard her mom say that. I'm sure that kids not going to have any moral issues growing up.

Can't help but notice that most of the complaints were at MK. Maybe the lack of alcohol gets everyone a bit "testy".

As for me, I'll take a Jägermeister with lemonade on the rocks please :slurp:.

Glad I read this far... that was going to be my suggestion! Upon arrival at the TTC walk to Poly's pool bar, sip on the beach, hop the monorail to the Contemporary..go to the Outer Rim and then toddle on to Magic Kingdom!

Not that I've done this.... but one gin and tonic too many....:hurl:
