How does anyone vaguely remember Rescue Rangers? That stuff was seared into my brain. Do I know my own social off the top of my head? Heck no. But do I know "The Best of Everything" from Rescue Rangers by heart? ABSOLUTELY.
...and I'm the opposite. I remember my social, but couldn't recount a single episode of the show. In fact, I only partially remember the theme song.

There is almost NO chance this movie is being marketed towards kids. It's being marketed to the 30-something who vaguely remembers Rescue Rangers from their childhood. Those 30-somethings can "introduce" the characters to their kids if they so choose, but there is just no way this movie is for children.
After watching the trailer I had similar thoughts. The approach they are taking really caught me off guard at first, but afterward there was a tinge of familiarity I couldn't place. It took a while for me to realize that the Rescue Rangers trailer gave me the same vibes as the previews for Enchanted had years ago. I recall being delighted by the notion of a subversive Disney movie, but let down by a film that wasn't bold enough to fully embrace that concept. Fifteen years ago Disney could not fully lampoon itself and under current management I doubt this new movie will either. I would love to eat my words of prediction, but I imagine that they feel the masses must be pleased!

Honestly after seeing that awful trailer for the Robot Chicken Parody esque movie of Rescue Rangers from the writers of SNL's "d*ck in a box", if anything it proves Disney does not care at all about The Rescue Rangers IP.

Heck they just threw it to an adult comedian to make a parody movie of, they are clearly done with it, them getting rid of the ride only makes sense to me, they clearly see Rescue Rangers as a joke.
Meanwhile Andre the Black Nerd and the folks at Double Toasted are highly intrigued by this movie. Heck The Lonely Island are fans of the original show.

Somehow the words, Disney and The Lonely Island, just don’t go together, unless they were doing some parody for SNL.

Like I said earlier, I think this is definitely aiming for an older audience.

People nostalgic for it in its first run are in their 40s.

Sooooooo, what do you think they're going to retheme Gadget's Go-Coaster to?
Almost anything. It's barely themed to Gadget or Rescue Rangers to begin with. It'd be easy to make this a Toy Story theme. Given the oversized props, perhaps Tinkerbell. Or Bug's Life.

I don't know what they will retheme it to (or even if they will retheme it, if the article is an indication), but given its proximity to Donald's Boat, I would personally like to see it rethemed to something duck-themed as a continuation. Maybe one of those backyard roller coasters that have become so popular lately. Maybe it could be a roller coaster Donald built in his yard for Huey, Dewey and Louie to keep them out of his hair.

I really hope also that they do something worthwhile with Donald's Boat so it's not just a lookout vantage point view, because it has been heavily neutered in the name of the safety.

Also, I'm pretty sure this is a long shot, but I would love for Goofy's House to become Goofy's Paint 'n' Playhouse, as in Tokyo:

I just wish I knew what Goofy was saying there, because he's speaking Japanese.

I'm also happy that the Roger Rabbit ride is remaining. I would think it would be stupid to redo Jessica Rabbit's character if they were just going to completely shut it down for good.

Okay? I don't know any of these people. It's my own opinion.

I think the movie is trash and Disney is only embarrassing themselves by parodying their own series these days.

I will bet you this movie comes out and a month later everyone forgets about it and that its garbage and not even a good comedy.

I mean Disney is tearing down the rescue rangers ride, clearly they don't care about the Rescue Rangers.

I grew up on this show and adore the theme song and the Nintendo game, that being said I have no desire to rewatch cartoon shows I liked as a kid as it usually ends up being unwatchable for me.

It's incredibly sad that Disney is only reviving this franchise to make fun of it.

I was surprised that Gadget seemed to be completely cut from the new trailer.... seemed strange.
NOPE, the whole supposed plot is because they have to rescue her.
Someone had mentioned that it would be absolutely hilarious if she was kidnapped by the russian gadget cult lol.
