News Reimagined Toontown coming

This probably started as an attempt to cash in on the success of the Alvin and the Chipmunks movies, then turned into an attempt to cash in on the success of Space Jam 2.
Was Space Jam even considered a "success" ?
I mean, the main dude might be amazing at sports.. but he's terrible at acting. Michael "The airness" Jordan had at least some charm.

I feel like I am the only person of my age-group who absolutely hated Space Jam. I saw it once and hated it. And I mean HATED it. It had all of the makings of something I SHOULD have liked by all accounts, given the live-action-animated fusion, but, nope. I detested it. I have never rewatched it, and I can bet money on it that it does not hold up in rewatches the way other movies do. I think that's why I am not optimistic about the upcoming Rescue Rangers movie, it gives me the same bad vibes.

Both Space Jam movies are bad for a few reasons. Non-actors in leading roles, paper thin plots that have no direction, constant pop culture references without context (haha look, its Pulp Fiction). Rescue Rangers seems better already because they have actual performers cast and the writing seems to be above a an ad executive level.

Let's face it. Looney Toons Back in Action was the best of these kind of movies.

with Cool World outdoing Roger Rabbit.

As a millennial, there are WAY too many people that are not ready for and cannot handle the "Space Jam is bad, actually" conversation.

Of course, awareness of (and appreciation for) Roger Rabbit and Looney Tunes: Back in Action doesn't seem to exist.

I was Taz from Space Jam for Halloween last year. As a kid in the 90s you have to admit Looney Tunes was way cooler than anything Disney (remember those tshirts and hoodies with hip hop versions of Looney Tunes?)

I work in a 5below store and we have tons of merch from the newer movie that sells way better than Mickey.

But anyway, talking about the Toon Town coaster, it will probably be Goofy themed like Disneyworld or maybe Ducktales.

Oh man, it's so bad! I watched it for the first time as an adult a little while ago and I was so sad.

NEVER rewatch anything you hold nostalgia for from the 90s. Let it live in your memory as the best thing ever. I understand now why my parents hated when I'd obsessively watch Rugrats.

On the contrary, I’ve been on a steady diet of 90s Nickelodeon game shows (Double Dare, GUTS, Legends…) and they’re fantastic! Especially some of the prizes they could win!

Maybe the coaster could be themed to Donald? Could make up for how little he's in Runaway Railway.

That’s still a head scratcher. The only thing that would make that make sense is if there is a Donald Duck attraction in the pipeline.

Yeah they could theme the coaster to Donald I suppose. Unfortunately I think whatever we get there will be a downgrade. The coaster is still very well themed for a kiddie coaster even with all of the broken effects. Hard for me to see todays Disney topping it. They ll just make it more “relevant” somehow but I doubt it will be better than Gadgets Go Coaster.
