They released a whole collection right after or before they announced the update to Cartoon Spin. And those clothes were honestly pretty hideous 🥲😫
Most real Disney clothes are pretty hideous. When Micechat puts up a merchandise story, I wonder who would wear most of this stuff outside of a theme park.

They've demonstrated with Rescue Rangers that they are incapable. The way they hid Jessica's body (removing her from the trunk, fine, body shaming her, No) shows that they do not understand the property.

I would rather Roger just exist as this perfect one off instead of them bleeding to death an IP they're clearly showing they don't understand.
They understand the property, they just changed it to be more PC...that's really the only reason for this change. Disney has no problem throwing out the storyline in an effort to reduce the opportunity for someone to get offended.

They don't understand Who Framed Roger Rabbit at all. Making a female character who has very clearly and obviously repeatedly demonstrated to be fully in control of her own agency have to cover herself is not politically correct. If they understood the film, or Jessica's role in the film, they would have not tried to girlbossify her.

I am only glad that Cartoon Spin is going to stay.

It's 100% about being politically correct, took her out of the car trunk where she was dressed more scantily and put a trench coat on her...and empowered her vs being "helpless". There is literally no other reason for them to change her in the ride. The attraction did not need a storyline change.

This is purely about Disney no longer feeling comfortable with the way she was portrayed in the attraction. They completely understand the movie but they just. don't. care. They'd rather change something they feel is "problematic" and not worry about how the character truly was in the movie.

The inclusion committee doesn’t care. They re making the park problematic-proof to the lowest common denominator. This is what happens when you empower these types of people. Eventually they’ll come for something you like.

I don't know if I would take it that far, but I do see what you mean in a way. My issue is definitely with them 1. body shaming, and 2. girlbossifying a character that was already a BOSS. There is more than one way to be a woman/ girl, and the very, very limited and narrow scope isn't feminist at all. There is more than one way to be strong! Snow White has empathy and kindness, Cinderella has the ability to set boundaries and has self-respect, Belle has patience and generosity, etc. etc. This world takes all kinds! That was like the whole point of Mulan-- that she was different and couldn't be someone else and then ended up saving the day and all of China anyway! We need all of them. Jessica is a devoted wife, willing to put her own reputation on the line to save her idiot husband who can't even get out of his own way.

IDK I will take the ugly trenchcoat if it means the ride (and Roger) stays.

I heard the information about a Roger Rabbit sequel takes place in 1954 during Disneyland construction where Walt helps Eddie Valiant to investigating the mystery problem at the construction site in Orange County which the Disney villians are been involving their plans to stop Walt Disney's dreams so Roger, Eddie, Walt and Mickey will stop the villians. Walt Disney also wants all Toons (mostly Disney characters) will moved out of Toontown and moving to new home in Disneyland. The filming will taken place during Euro Disneyland construction in 1991 in France which it will be like in 1954 for Disneyland construction, in the finale where Roger and Mickey battles the Disney villians at Sleeping Beauty's Castle. The sequel was supposed to released in 1992 but it got cancelled by Disney. The sequel will supposed to be about the origins of Mickey's Toontown which Walt Disney will have his plan for Toons of Toontown.

Models of the new ToonTown -

Model making is the only thing WDI does right.

Also the Splash Mountain remodel looks good, except for the awful water tower. But other than that, it’ll fit in well next to Rivers of America. So glad they’re not going with the concept art depicting the boat on top of the mountain; that was unbelievably ugly.
