News Reimagined Toontown coming

I like the design/ workmanship and the view from Fantasyland looks good. Not sure how I’ll feel about it standing inside the land. Maybe this approach made more sense considering the size of the building they had to hide and how close it is.
Still slightly concerned about the scale within the land; I remember how prominent the construction billboard was before they closed Toontown, and to imagine the hills there feel like they'd be a little too tall for comfort. I do really like how they look though from this vantage point.

So, we still don't know what the new theme of Gadget's Go-Coaster will be?

No, or what's happening with Donald and Goofy's residences. Also, the gas station is being reconfigured as a market. I'm guessing it's a new eatery.

I'm hoping against hope that this will be displayed on the show floor, because I will not be able to attend the grand panel on Sunday, where everything revealed will be spoken, not written.

The picture makes it look a bit too muted for my preference, but I’ll reserve judgment until I step into the land or see more photos. Love the new styling though!
I know what you mean, but I assume we're only seeing the very top of the show building (where the hills would be painted less saturated to look farther away). Looking back at the concept art, I wonder if there will be more colors and details at the lower half of the building. Also, do we think they will actually build a dimensional beanstalk breaking into the building as seen in the concept art? I know theres concept art of the beanstalk inside of the queue too.

I pulled up a google street view of the old Toontown hills. It's a good reminder that the hills were never that colorful (maybe they are faded from the sun at this point though). The surrounding buildings inside of the land have always been the main foal points, and remain colorful. Now that I think about it, making the giant showbuilding hills colorful and detailed might draw too much attention to it inside of the land. It's probably smart that they are trying to set it back a little. Whatever happens, I'm really excited for this addition.

I didn't realize Gadget's was getting a re-theme, regarding the Micechat update. Since they demolished the treehouse, I wonder if it's going to be re-themed to Chip n Dale's coaster? That would be the cheapest and easiest route at least...

Given its proximity to Donald's Boat, I would theme it to the ducks. Maybe theme it like those backyard coasters that became so popular lately, with a theme toward Huey, Dewey and Louie.

It'll be a Minions coaster.

I think you're getting confused with Universal. Speaking of which (given how Universal in Florida has a roller coaster called the Woody Woodpecker Nuthouse Coaster), maybe if they went with Chip 'n' Dale for the theme, it could be called Chip 'n' Dale's Nuthouse Coaster ("They're not salted, they're not roasted, they're just plain nuts!"). It wouldn't require too much work as the ride vehicles already look somewhat like acorns.

I'm still wondering, though, what's happening with the gas station. The concept art showed that it was being rethemed as a market (possibly a new eatery (such as it is)), but so far, nothing has changed (except the removal of the gas pumps and the car).

If you're thinking ducks, imagine an 80's Ducktales overlay. Change the load station to the McDuck Manor and add a forced perspective Scrooge money bin that the coaster travels through on the drop after the lift hill. It could even go inside the money bin, and give us a quick glimpse at the piles of coins inside.

OR theme it to a generic Donald Duck and Chip n' Dale cartoon. Add a hollowed out tree trunk filled with nuts that the car goes through on the lift hill, etc...

Realistically though, I think Disney will want to keep as much of the original theming for Gadget's as possible; which is why I'm thinking they'd just change the name to Chip n' Dale's and leave the rest almost the same. Unless they will announce something more extensive at D23?

I hope they do something at D23. I really hope they do something on the show floor, as I won't be able to attend the big presentation on Sunday. I will only be there on Friday and Saturday.

Really hoping roger gets some love, the ride portions will seem outdated compared to MMRR… but it already felt outdated before MMRR was coming so-
