Regrets from last trip

Going to WDW in the winter this past January/February and having the snow from the blizzard New England was being hit by destroy our first home we had only bought a month and a half prior. I don't think I can ever leave in the winter again after that lol. We had to leave 4 days early. Couldn't get any flights home and drove 22 hours all the way to Massachusetts in a rental car. There was $37,000+ of damage and it took almost 6 months before we got our new walls, floors and furniture back. What a mess.

Now that's a regret! I hate that you had to deal with that and hopefully you can go back for a Disney do-over soon.

Still on the trip but gotta say biggest regret: Yachtsman Steakhouse. What a disappointment! Teeeeeeerrible cut & improperly cooked. Mega let-down.

Exactly how we felt about about Le Cellier last week. All the hype had me singing it's praises to the family, they all gave me a hard time about it afterwards. Not our best meal by far and certainly not worth two dinning credits IMO.

The pretzel bread was great though! :sohappy:

Not really regretting it as we can now check it off the "list" but none the less we were pretty disappointed.

It was a learning experience for sure. We had 3 different cuts of steak cooked either medium or medium rare between the 5 of us. The medium steaks were cooked okay but they were tough and grisly. I had to really saw at mine a bit. DH & big brother had lots of grissle, tough, and undercooked. In a medium rare steak you should not find blue/ice cold areas. Guess we'll be sure to visit true quality steak restaurants in the future (not at WDW) if we want to spend that kind of money on a special meal. Such a shame. The only redeeming factor in what we ate for our anniversary was the delicious custom cake I ordered from the Yacht & Beach pastry chefs ahead of our trip. That was wonderful...but it didn't come from the Yachtsman. It was just delivered to us at that meal.

I regret not being more disciplined about shuttles and busses. I missed too much time because of it.

In the parks, I don't regret anything. I take each day as it comes and do whatever I feel like doing, except for the odd dinner reservation and some planning of what to do on which days.

One can't see it all on every trip. If I want to get some launches and drops in, I'll skip Fantasmic. If I want to see F!, I'll have to forfeit on that fastpass for ToT burning in my pocket. I never regret my choice, because it was my choice at that moment, what I felt like doing.

Not slowing down..... We have been the last five years and it's run run run. Lol! This coming March it's going to be VERY different. I just want to sit down, look around, and just say, "I'm here"!

I regret sitting in the front row on Splash Mountain at 8pm on a cold night in February and saying out loud "We hardly ever get wet on this ride anyway."

HA!
