Maybe umbrellas or a canopy will be added when all is finished? Regardless, I'll be eating indoors and taking advantage of the a/c.

The furniture is pretty much what you'd find at any park's picnic area. Doesn't bother me that much.

Other than Sam feeling shoehorned, I don't mind what I'm seeing. It just seems kind of incomplete. The atmosphere at the Flower and Garden BBQ areas seemed a bit more themed. But, it's obviously not done yet. So, we'll see what the end result looks like then.

surely umbrellas are on the way, they were in the concept art I think, not that that means anything lol....what I dont like is that wood shingled shed canopy thing in front of the beautiful architecture of the pavilion...

Guessing they will be independently mounted. There is no way this will not have some kind of shade

I noticed that too. There's also the separate pedestal type umbrellas, but those would take away from the area's space.

I hope so. I can't see them drilling holes through the tables with them already on location (although I HAVE seen stranger things happen).

Those photos look good, but I doubt it'll be competition for Regal Eagle. Regal Eagle almost certainly won't be better than Polite Pig, but it'll attract a bunch of people already in EPCOT.

What I see in the concept art, is that the umbrellas will be placed in-between tables, which seem to be arranged very close to each other. Biergarten-like, maybe?

If the umbrellas are similar to the concept art, they aren't going to provide very much shade at all. More decorative than anything.
