Ok... this show. Headaches galore. So tonight was another pyro anomaly. Rather than the normal canopy fireworks that directly follow the host monologue just before Someday, they used these odd dribble fireworks that took nearly all energy from the scene. It was horrendous. I wish I had taken a picture. The comet shots are back to the IROE/EF style which is incredible.

Just finished watching a replay of livestream of tonight's HarmonioUS. I am both confused and happy...?

Like DisneywithNick said, the comet shots are back to how they used to be which is cool I guess. But something strange happened during the part where the pyro shoots out from the arms during the finale. Disney used a different type of shell. Granted it looks ugly and not nearly as good as the original version, the shells looked very familiar.

Then it hit me. Disney literally used the shells from the 1000 Points of light ROE finale in tonight's show.

Old on top, new on bottom. The IROE comets are nice because they smoke half as much and burn longer. These, however are a trainwreck. Management is eagerly watching nightly from a friendship dock. My guess is that the lagoon restaurants are complaining about guest flow. Hardly any guests stay to watch this compared to IROE/EF. It seems to me like we may be getting EF back as a band aid near the 40th so they can sort this mess out..

I think they must still have major supply issues for pyro.

Not sure how to feel about this. I'm leaning more towards a negative opinion about this but the lower lighting in the footage definitely made the effect look much better and actually more reminiscent of the finale those shells were originally meant for.

Still a little weird to see Illuminations trying to crawl out of its grave basically.

I just think it goes on for too long, has a redundant vibe coming straight off of The World Es Mi Familia, and is actually a worse lead-in to the ending than its predecessor.
That was my first thought when it came to adding something. The World Es Mi Familia is a perfect end to the show and the PatF segment just goes on and on. They could at least trim it. As you say, though, they really seem to be plugging away at promoting that film until it becomes one of their most beloved classics.

agree, they are pushing way too hard, with the volume level of blasting it the way they are (plus the horrid rendition of the screeching singing) its obvious they are really forcing it. I hope this entire show gets a redo. One can agree or disagree, but it has issues.

I just posted another thread about this, but EPCOT Forever is going to have to come back. They have been using that shows pyro for a week now, almost like a test. Harm is going to HAVE to go down to be fixed PROPERLY. EF would then either have to come back over the summer, with Harm returning "new" for the 40th, or have EF back for the 40th with Harm returning after that. I would bet the summer, given the recent pyro changes. And the lack of guests in the lagoon. Third party restaurants must be losing it.

Do you have any inside sources telling you this or are you assuming?

There is no "reason" for it to go down.
Re-programming, music tracks, pyro cue's etc.. all done offline in a visualizer these days.
One of those visualizers is actually publicly available and free. Much easier to do that nowadays. Like you said, they could just use a visualizer and test their products overnight like they have always done.

Whether or not it proves any theory, tonight's Harmonious was done entirely with Epcot Forever pyro. 100%, completely, for the second night in a row.

Whatever the guest response is to Harmonius, its better than it was for EF. There's no reason to bring that back when Harmonius can be tweaked during off hours.

They have a pyro shortage.
