News Reflections of Earth confirmed to be replaced by Harmonious

So I watched Harm from Gran Destino tonight and had the music piped in. This is the second time seeing the show after seeing it once in person and hating it. I realized tonight, for me, it’s the dig a little deeper song that pushes me from meh to hate. It’s just TOO MUCH loud yelling music in a row going from Coco/saludos amigos right into PATF. I think cutting/adjusting the PATF segment (and I love that movie) could really help the flow of the show.
Agree completely. Both it and Reflection drag on and have grating instrumentation, which is weird for me to say considering how much I typically like Chinese fiddle. I honestly would've preferred Colors of the Wind if they needed something tied to America for the show. Princess and the Frog is already decently featured in Enchantment whereas Pocahontas just, uh, tumbles over a waterfall for two seconds in one sequence.

My recommendation - Write off Harmonious as a loss and remove the barges. Then move on to a replacement with appropriate urgency.
Disney has never and will never admit failure.

This show was supposed to be the pinnacle of Disney Parks nighttime entertainment offerings. Bringing guests into the park just to see it.

It’s almost been 6 months and it’s already tired.

I'm sure the upcoming ticket price increases and limited AP sales will continue to grow that unprecedented demand.

That’s why I think they will keep Harmonious at least until the 50th is over and try to make everyone believe it was only for the 50th lol, or use the 40th Anniversary as a excuse to end the show. Depending on how urgent changes need to happen, they could also wait for the 100th of the company to end it or if entertainment across property is a much bigger concern and needs changes this year, they could come up with a Summer entertainment event across property like they did with Nightastic that one year.

I’d be shocked though if they end Harmonious and, wishful thinking, Enchantment, without the 50th officially over and or a new property wide celebration/event.

I think the general hate consensus here for both shows don’t likely match what most guests feel.

HEA was my favorite show, but Enchantment is fine. It’s inferior but surely not awful.

Harmonious has some really good moments and the tech itself can make an evening spectacle. They have used it for the RunDisney marathons and NYE show, besides Harm. I do agree that some songs need to be chopped from the soundtrack.

I’d like to see both shows retooled a bit if they end up sticking around.

Listening to that part of the soundtrack feels like whoever was mastering it just slid all the sliders up and said "that sounds great!". It sounds poorly mastered because the voices start to drown out the instruments. Even sections of the Coco segment sound a bit sloppy. Most of the soundtrack sounds fine aside from those.

The barges look ugly in the day but they're really good at serving their purpose for the shows. It was such a cool addition to the New Years show this year that it almost makes the original tag without the barges seem less celebratory.

I thought that track was very good. Especially towards the end, whoever was on the electric guitar was killing it. And Kiera Shepard did very well with the vocals as expected.

I think the Coco section is the best section of the show (excluding the finale.). The major problem is that for the first time I did not watch the show from the enterance plaza and instead watched it by the Canada Friendship dock, not watching this show dead on causes you to miss a lot of the show. For instance, during the Mulan fighting sequence watching dead on you realize every flare is in sinc with the projections and looks great, off center it looks like a muddled mess that is not connected. With American Gardens being blocked out, that means the only place where you can fully appreciate the show is in that entrance plaza.

Yeah I fully agree the dig a little deeper part is a bit much. For me the opening of the show is annoying to with all the yelling.

In a way I prefer the exit/instrumental version of the soundtrack lol.

Harmonious is too big to fail. Unlike ROL where they just wrote off nighttime entertainment for DAK, they can’t do that for EPCOT. They’ll rework it and rework it until it becomes just acceptable enough.

I’m inclined to agree with you about show content. However, I do think guests will notice the experiential issues with Harmonious, inasmuch as you now have a whole heck of a lot more areas with poor viewing angles and have to stare at a mangle of steel throughout the day.

I think the exit version would make a much better show. Throw in a bunch more fireworks (because I think Harm lacks fireworks greatly) and you’ve got a new show. Sad most people don’t even see the “after party”, as we call it Because they are too busy leaving.
