I will be going to Disney World in July and will be staying at the Beach Club Resort. I have stayed there twice before and both times had gotten the refillable mugs. My question is can I bring the same mugs from my past trips instead of buying new ones? Thanks!:)
PS-Do they still cost $11.99?

Mugs currently sold, and those sold over the past few years, clearly state that they are refillable only at the resort where they were bought and only during the stay during which they were bought.

Therefore, if you use it at any other time, it's theft. It may not be a LARGE theft, but its theft.

The ability to "get away with something" doesn't make it okay to do.

It is hardly "superior" to say that there is a difference between right and wrong.

Here's a decent analogy. Let's say a resort food court sold penny candy, candy that was literally one cent per piece. Would it be okay to take one or two of those pieces of candy without paying?

At the soda fountains, you are on your honor. It's highly highly unlikely that someone with a mug from a previous visit will be stopped, let alone will even have a single eyebrow raised about it.

Personally, I live my life by a sense of what's right and wrong, not by a sense of what I think I can get away with. I'm not telling other people what they must do, Im giving food for thought.

I'm really curious to read responses to my penny candy analogy ... not angry screeds, but well-thought-out responses. Hopefully we can have a dialogue without referencing (and misspelling) the name of the secret police of a murderous regime.

i have a portable mini-fridge that holds 6 cans of soda, cost about $50 at target/ walmart. i bring my own soda with me. in the long run, its cheaper, unless you keep bringing the same mug. plus, my soda wont go flat and i dont have to walk all th way to the food court to get it.

I love mug threads, I used to hate them but they always bring back a certain nostalgia, it must have been a month since the last one.

  Mug threads, stroller threads, and 3 year olds without a ticket threads, all make for fun reading!

The mugs at BB actually had bar codes on them that you had to scan before the machine would work. There must be a lot of soda theives hanging around.

Some people have a conscience and others dont. They feel if they can get away with it then it's OK. But you know its not OK, because it does state for the "length of your stay". But Disney is not going to go ballistic over such a minor thing. I would think if you all like Disney so much then you would want to show the respect and not steal. Just dont question when the price of things go up, though.

My $.02 on this topic is if you're going to re-use mugs from previous trips and not buy new ones.......

DON'T COMPLAIN WHEN TICKET PRICES GO UP!!!

And along those lines dont forget to not complain when they do away with it completely because of thousands of other guests doing the same thing....

Let's try to keep this civil.

And as soon as someone posts the old "I suppose you never broke the law by speeding? Unless you're perfect, you have no right to judge anyone else" argument, the thread will be locked.

The only reason I asked was because I was not sure if it was okay or not, I really dont care about buying new mugs. I rather buy new mugs then get caught and made to look like a fool in the resort.
