To what end? They've already "declared" the agreements void and will soon have extra legislative authority to back them up, so unless Disney gets an injunction, there's no need to sue to void the contracts, and if Disney does get a federal injunction, the state suit is irrelevant. It's ridiculously pointless.

They don’t actually have the authority to declare the contracts void. They were already talking about having to get a court to agree, which means the claim that they didn’t want to sue and were not going to sue is just another lie on the pile of lies.

We might be heading towards a bit of a constitutional crisis. It’s hard not to believe that any state-level ruling will be used to ignore any federal-injunctions and or rulings as a state matter. DeSantis recently announced his intent to violate his responsibilities under the US Constitution and federal law regarding another matter, would he be willing to actually do it with this matter?

I know this will be widely unpopular but I think for instance the affected business such as those at Disney Springs should take a page out of SeaWorld. Introduce a temporary 2-5% surcharge and clearly denote that it's due increased operations cost due to the retaliation of Ron DeSantis.

He doesn't need that vote while it's a field of 10 because those people are always going to be more anti-Trump than pro-DeSantis.

Phase 1: Get through the early debates as the clear #2. This is about name ID more than anything else. It's "no press is bad press" time.

Phase 2: Other non-Trump candidates drop out after failing to crack double-digit support in the early primaries.

Phase 3: Consolidate normieCon and #NeverTrump support and pray that it's bigger than 50%.

Phase 4: Absorb incoming fire from Trump, which will have the benefit of making DeSantis appear reasonable by comparison in preparation for a pivot in the General.

Phase 5: Pray that Trump doesn't go nuclear with a third party campaign.

Seems like a real stretch. The moment he declares its going to be like running into a buzz saw with Trump. If he says nothing he will appear "Weak" if he insults Trump in any way he loses the MAGA people forever.

But it will move the needle for the donor class and likely key influence makers in conservative circles.

Whether they admit it or not, if they feel like Wall Street Journal reading/Fox watching traditionally right-leaning economic minded voters are tiring of this drama many of his followers will start to defect as we’re seeing cracks in the legislature.

And what did those taxes do? Paid for municipal services (roads, electricty, waste management, EMS, etc). In addition, Disney pays county property taxes to Orange and Osceola and whatever business taxes they’re required to pay to the state.

I’m saying the minute the “sleeping mob” decided more restrictions/backward type policies “sold”…Disney was in conflict from them no matter who the management was.
