I just want to see the how Disney handles the PR side of this. We all know their PR hasn't been doing a good job with the usual positive spin on things.
…I wouldn’t…Forgive me if I’m missing something, but in what way does the legislation you’re alluding to affect Disney’s LGBTQ employees?
A budget is a very different matter from something like this. I still have my doubts about what a court will do regarding taking away representation that property owners were assured they had.See my next post. Every year the Legislature passes the annual budget and another bill colloquially called the "Implementing Bill". It is mostly just "notwithstandings" that negate FL Statute language in order to implement the budget. They do this every year.
The point here is Disney can survive without Florida. Florida can't survive without Disney.
I am curious as to how the municipalities would actually play into all of this. Universal Orlando Resort isn’t subject to Orange County in terms of building, fire and zoning because Orlando is in charge of those issues. Not only that but apparently another provision of FL law is that a special district has to be dissolved the same way it was instituted. Reedy Creek was instituted in ordinary session, not special session, so this law may not end up applying to RCID at all...
I agree with that…but the US Making sure a recession didn’t happen during a shutdown in 2020-21 isn’t evidence that Disney doesn’t need wdw. It’s their largest single segment cash cow and generated enormous OI and profits. It is a public company…they disclose this stuff. The point here is Disney can survive without Florida. Florida can't survive without Disney.
And here I am hoping a certain former gov of SC runs.Which is why, as a Republican, I wish Trump would go the hell away and let DeSantis take the 2024 nomination. But instead, his ego is going to get in the way and he's going to run again and tank it for us yet again.
Why do you say this? Think about the revenue and the traffic that Disney brings to Florida. No picture if all that goes away. You can't be serious.
More stuff you are just making up. Disney recently sued over specific years and were not alone. The property appraiser didn’t follow the rules.Yeah and every year Disney sues those assessors when the assessors try to raise the assessed value to something more closely resembling reality.
FTFYFlorida.....America's Playground for Orthopedic Surgeons .
Not that nobody would come but it would be greatly reduced.Cause I’m sure nobody would come to Florida if Disney wasn’t here.
FTFY
Not that nobody would come but it would be greatly reduced.
At the bank…there’d be quite a few less nickels to rub togetherNo. It wouldn’t.
So you're telling me that Florida would continue to pull the amount of people to it that it does with Disney? Keep in mind people from all over the globe visit Disney on any given day.No. It wouldn’t.
DL will go away before WDW.Why do you say this? Think about the revenue and the traffic that Disney brings to Florida. No picture if all that goes away.
So you think disney should close WDW, putting a bunch of CMs out of work and likely losing more public support in the process? Doesn’t sound like a great strategy. Sounds like a gift to their opponents. So you're telling me that Florida would continue to pull the amount of people to it that it does with Disney? Keep in mind people from all over the globe visit Disney on any given day.
I mean disney is the only reason I've ever gone to florida for. I can't be the only one.So you're telling me that Florida would continue to pull the amount of people to it that it does with Disney? Keep in mind people from all over the globe visit Disney on any given day.
Not if the FL government keeps doing this. A company will only put up with so much before it decides it isn't worth it.DL will go away before WDW.
