It makes sense to turn that area into a Red Car Station, should look nice! Regarding the parade route.. yeah, it's hard to keep track of where its going. Can't wait for the full-length route to return once everything is completed.

An update for the temporary path from the Tower courtyard to Bugs Land, also effecting TOT's FP for the duration of the summer.

http://www.mouseplanet.com/9149/Disneyland_Resort_Update

The April refurbishment schedule has been updated, and the temporary connector path between Bug's Land and the Tower of Terror will be closed April 19 through August 15 to allow construction of a more permanent route between the two lands. During this period, Fastpass service for the Tower of Terror will not be offered.

Wow, tracks. Makes you really think how extensive this really is for the park. They are essentially adding the details to the park that make Disneyland, Disneyland. THink of it.

Im very happy this is happening, anyone remember the rumors that said the red car trolleys were cut from the budget, good thing that was false.

I wonder where the track work will go from here, if they start in front of the Hyperion then its going to make a big mess when the Aladdin shows let out, or if they will wait till Aug to start that part. Then again the Tower/Bugsland path is probably next since the path way is said to be made permanent.

According to AL the Buena Vista Street project will start in Oct. Its worth putting here till we see the walls start going up and then a thread. Should be exciting to see though.

In October the massive makeover to DCA's main entrance will get underway, and Buena Vista Street construction will begin from the existing California letters all the way past the Sun Plaza.

We've been telling you the evolving plans to rip out and replace the main entrance of an existing theme park, a project that is unprecedented in the history of Disney theme parks and perhaps all theme parks in general. It looks like the plan they've finally landed on is to tackle one side of DCA's main entrance at a time, and only allow people to enter the park through the half of the facility not under construction. A temporary exit for DCA would then be built on the west end of the Soarin' Over California attraction, dumping exiting park guests out into Downtown Disney.

It's not going to be pretty for the 18 months it will exist, and it promises plenty of logistical problems with rented strollers and general confusion, but it's really the best option for TDA to finally replace DCA's cheap and basic (as well as cryptic - its supposed to represent a 3-D pop-up postcard) entrance complex from 2001 with the far more lavish and luxurious (ie Disney quality and detail) Buena Vista Street experience.

Can't wait. And yes, BVS needs its own thread but that should probably happen once actual construction starts.. Can't wait for the new entrance but, as Al said, the construction process is not going be pretty!

The walls in the Tower courtyard have shifted, looks like they removed the planter as well as the curbs removed. Interesting move.....

MousePlanet's update confirmed that they are fixing this area up to allow the parade to travel through here. I'm still not sure what will happen to the HPB sign - will the floats fit under it? Personally i'm excited about the parades traveling down Hollywood Blvd now :) This should allow them to start work on the permanent walkway between ToT and Flik's Fun Faire.

...As we reported in January, the a new "performance corridor" is being created through Disney's California Adventure, starting at the Tower of Terror. The existing gate to the east of the Tower of Terror will be replaced with a wider gate, and the path between the new gate and Hollywood Blvd. is being widened (cutting across a section of the current Hyperion Theater queue) to allow the parade floats to better fit through the new performance corridor. Some of the construction walls around the courtyard were removed last week, revealing the new, wider parade route.
